What are your upsets?
-
Crimson streakI'll go with Xavier to the sweet sixteen. As a nd fan it hurts to say that
-
killer_ewokAgreed.
-
gorocks99Seriously considering K State over Syracuse in the 2nd round.
In the first round, thinking about Belmont over G'town, VCU over Wichita St, NC State over SDSU. If Cal beats USF ... Cal over Temple. -
Crimson streakI'll also take Memphis over mich st. Memphis is starting to hit there stride going into the tourney
-
said_aouitaMurray State over Marquette
-
Terry_TateOhio to the sweet 16, San Diego State to the sweet 16, really thinking about Montana over Wisconsin and Iona over Marquette
-
Midstate01Montana over wisky
Nd over duke
Usf in the sweet 16 -
gorocks99I'm gonna go on record and say Wisconsin throttles Montana. Well, maybe not throttles, but wins by 10+. Just a hunch.
-
MulvaNC State over SDSU. Long Beach State over New Mexico. If Cal beats USF, I like them to the Sweet 16.
If Iona beats BYU I think they could give Marquette some serious problems, but I didn't pick that one.
I'm still stumped on Belmont/Georgetown. -
Little DannyI got Long Beach State over NM, NC State over San Diego State... watch-out for Belmont pulling a big upset over the Hoyas.
-
stephen3108Long Beach State to Sweet 16. UNLV to Elite Eight.
-
reclegend22Iona over BYU, Marquette and Murray State to the Sweet 16. MoMo Jones and the Gaels play fast, fun and loose and are liable to put up Pac Man-like scoring totals. Their ability to go on crazy spurts give them a chance.
Creighton over UNC on a Doug McDermott flurry from the perimeter is something I want to do, but I just can't pull the trigger.
Not really an upset, but love the tandem of Mike Moser and Chase Stanback for Vegas. Two 6-8 guys with the ability to stretch the floor at the forward spots and score all over the court and in bunches. Stanback had one game this year in which he knocked down 9 of 11 from beyond the arc. Add in Oscar Bellfield and Anthony Marshall and you have an athletic, quick and lengthy cast that can drop 90 like that on a hot night and defend in the post (see double-digit win over No. 1 UNC). If it weren't for Duke, I'd take the Rebels all the way to the Elite Eight. -
friendfromlowryUpon review, I didn't really put too many high seeds in the sweet sixteen. I have #7 ND in there, and #5 Vandy (not really a big risk, I know) The rest are all 1-4 seeds.
I'm still debating:
-Memphis over Michigan St
-UConn over Kentucky (unlikely I will pick this)
-NC State over Georgetown
-WVU over OSU
I also need to figure out what do with Syracuse now that Melo is out. I did have them winning it all...
I wonder if Southern Miss would be a smart pick over K-State...maybe they focus too much on a weak Syracuse and forget to win their first game -
reclegend22Toying with the idea of taking Indiana over Kentucky in the Sweet 16. The Hoosiers have some veterans who are extremely hungry to return IU to glory, confidence (see win over UK in December) and, at least on paper, are almost a mirror image of the Indiana team that upended seemingly unbeatable Duke in the Sweet 16 in 2002.
Indiana in 2002 had an NBA frontcourt talent in Jared Jefferies centered around a brilliant cast of outside shooters in Hornsby, Fife and Coverdale, in addition to a defensive whiz and glue-guy in A.J. Moye.
Indiana 2012 has an NBA frontcourt talent in Cody Zeller centered around a brilliant cast of outside shooters in Watford, Hulls and Roth, in addition to a defensive stopper and do-everything guy in Oladipo. Toss in a Rex Chapman leaper in Will Sheehey as well as a red sea of support that will part the blue contingencies of Duke and Kentucky right down the middle in Atlanta and who knows. -

Azubuike24Detroit over Kansas and South Dakota State over Baylor in one bracket. Long shots, but not unheard of.
-
Early CuylerCincinnati in sweet 16. I don't believe it is too farfetched, but every analyst seems to have a hard on for Florida State right now.
-
MulvaI bit the bullet and took Belmont to the sweet 16 in my work pool.
Stuck with LBSU, NC State, and USF - but I didn't pick them to the sweet 16, just beating Temple. And I took Texas over UC. -
ichsnjbI have St. Mary's and Marquette going to the final four. Not all number one's can go all the way.
