I think that pretty much every year. And then they never do.slingshot4ever;1106299 wrote:I think UNC takes this rather easily.... -
ironman02In the afteroon session, Maryland defeated Wake Forest, 82-60. They'll take on Carolina tomorrow. NC State took down BC, 78-57, and will face Virginia tomorrow.
-
ironman02Va Tech beat Clemson, 68-63. The Hokies will take on Duke tomorrow night.

Skyhook79sleeper 15-54 LOL Must have been all the time he spent running his McDonald's Franchise instead of taking time on his picks.

Ironman92Carolina looking good....Henson injured his wrist but they said it's not broken. Zeller just got called for a block....bad call
48-31 -
wildcats20Henson's return is going to be based on pain. That is a good sign IMO.
-
wildcats20I HIGHLY doubt Henson will be back.
He's wrapped with ice. -
reclegend22N.C. State looking good early against Virginia in what is arguably the biggest game the Pack has played in since Herb Sendek left for the desert. State up 26, 22 midway through the first half.
As I said before, if it can outlast Virginia this afternoon, I think N.C. State can beat UNC tomorrow and reach the final behind C.J. Leslie and the shooting of Scott Wood (if he gets it going; he's a criminally underrated shooter nationally). The school has a history of playing very well in the ACC Tournament -- third most titles all-time with 10 -- and especially more so than any other conference team outside of Duke and UNC over the past decade. The Wolfpack reached championship games in 2002, 2003 and 2007 as undermanned teams. -
reclegend22Duke-Va Tech on deck and will tip in about 15 minutes. It will be interesting to see if K decided to go with the quicker lineup with Dawkins or Gbinije and play small in hopes to out-shoot and out possession the Hokies (with the risk of compromised interior D and rebounding), or if he decided to insert both Plumlees and clog the lane for offensive boards and put-back opportunities while Rivers and Curry work from deep.
Either way, this game is going to cause some extreme anxiety for Blue Devil fans, I have a feeling. Va Tech is always a difficult game for Duke. But I'll be happy to be wrong. -
reclegend22Glad Duke got Mike Patrick. Despite displaying obvious signs of Alzheimer's, he is as good as it gets in the ACC (well, historically, anyway).

And an even bigger Dook homer than Vitale. -
ironman02If Henson can't go tomorrow, guarding CJ Leslie is gonna be a problem for Carolina. Henson usually does a great job on Leslie, but if he isn't in there, McAdoo and maybe even Hubert will have to step up. It appears that Henson's wrist isn't fractured, but it still seems like a pretty painful injury. I highly doubt if he plays during the rest of the ACCT, which will make it VERY hard for the Heels to win. That said, Carolina has owned NC State for years. Maybe the Pack is due, or maybe Carolina will roll them again. I know I'm hoping for the ladder.

ironman02As I type, Duke is finally starting to open up a lead on VaTech. I'm gonna be pissed if Miami beats Florida State tonight. I want the Noles to beat the hell outta Duke, even if they don't beat them on the scoreboard.
-
Azubuike24WTF Miami...
Durand Scott is ineligible now. Impermissible benefits. Just like Reggie Johnson...
Combined with other sanctions going on with football, Frank Haith got out at the right time? -

Don't be scared....UNC will get the #1 seed in the West and Duke will have to take the #2 seed in the East...it's all good -
swamisezFsu will take down duke then UNC will hammer the holes in a revenge game. I know noles fans are hyped bc the acc tournament is finally not in the state of north Carolina. I still don't think it will be enough. The heels are a title favorite for a reason.

I've heard it from him directly, the guy is not a fellow of coach k but loves Duke. Patrick is a west Virginia guy and apparently he was/is good friends with Pete gaudet.
I hate it when people all announcers homers for Duke. The Duke media (bilas, Davis, and Feinstein) display so little favoritism it makes me on deer if they are self-hating Dukies. I would love for Duke to have a hubert Davis or Len Elmore on the mic. Then we would really see what favoritism sounds/looks like. Dickie V is a college bball hype promoter he does this for every good team not just duke. -
ironman02No Henson today. Hope the Heels can win without him.
Henson probably won't play until the 2nd round of the NCAAT if I had to guess. -
swamisezHuge blow to the heels. Lost the best shot blocker in the league and Carolina's most versatile defender of post players.
Cj Leslie could go off and Bernard James tomorrow. -
Classyposter58NC State running all over NC early
-
ironman02McAdoo playing like garbage and in foul trouble. Leslie scoring at will.
Marshall with 2 fouls, one of which was an atrocious call.
Barnes playing the worst game of his career.
Carolina down 3. Time to stop screwing around.
