Should Boise State join the Big10???

  • Strapping Young Lad
Playing the Big Ten sched could help them get the respect they crave...

Big Ten Boise...good idea or no????
  • devil1197
Not possible at all, end of thread.
  • Nate
Not going to happen. You think Big 10 teams will want to travel to Idaho for a game every other year?
  • thedynasty1998
    End this thread immediately.
  • devil1197
Idaho does not touch a B10 state, therefore this thread is pointless.

Nah...Big 10's holding out for Hawaii
  • Nate
    Is Alaska available?
  • sjmvsfscs08
    Really?
  • charliehustle14
    lol
  • Strapping Young Lad
So you guys don't like the idea???
  • Heretic
He might have a point. Look....the current Big 10 geography isn't as far from Boise as you might think.... ;)

  • ytownfootball
Has a point? As a pot stirrer his potential really sucks.

  • Strapping Young Lad
^^You're an idiot. How would this thread be my idea of stirring the pot??? Some dude from Wisconsin wrote a letter to editor in SI suggesting that Boise apply to the Big Ten. I wondered if anyone in Big Ten Country could think this was a good idea and if they did, why....
  • ytownfootball
I'm an idiot? Go do a little homework on the Big 10's pre-requisites for proposed inclusion of future members and check back in.
  • Strapping Young Lad
Yeah, I'll do all that instead of just starting a thread.
  • devil1197
Why is this not locked lol?

    Its 99.999% impossible.
  • darbypitcher22
    No.

The travel alone makes no sense.

Not like it makes any sense for them now with Hawaii and Louisiana Tech either.
  • SQ_Crazies
100% impossible and a stupid thought anyways.
  • september63
Lighten up everyone!!! it was just his question? It was somewhat of a silly question, but no need to bury a guy for a dumb thread. I have seen much worse.
  • SQ_Crazies
No one really buried him--just speaking the truth.

It would definitely make them a National power if they could win the Big 10 on a year by year basis. But going through the gauntlet of having to play Ohio State, Michigan, Penn State, Wisconsin, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Minnesota, etc.. would be a lot tougher than winning the WAC. They'd probably finish dead last year in year out in the Big 10. Now, if they are looking for some scrub competition, I heard the SEC is looking for someone to replace the bottom feeders like Vanderbilt. Much easier to win there, then where REAL football is played, like in the Big 10.
  • NOL fan
they should join the MWC, and have Nevada and Fresno State join them. At least that's what the MWC would like to do, in an effort to get 12 teams and become a BCS conference
  • devil1197
I say 99.999% because the B10 could always change the pre-req's even though that's nver going to happen.

Gee, thanks Sept. you're not as bad as I thought, lol;)

It wasn't my idea anyway. It was proposed by a guy from Wisconsin so I imagine he is a Big Ten fan. I know where Boise is, it's north of Montana and east of CO, so I know it's far. I wanted to see if any fans of the Big Ten thought there would be benefits, for either side, that outweigh the travel issue....
