#3 Villanova falls at Temple

  In rivalry games as we all know rankings and records are thrown out the window and that was the case today as unranked Temple upset #3 Nova in a Big 5 match up. Nova had won 21 out of the last 22 Big 5 games and was looking to sweep the season series with a win over Temple, but the Owls pulled the upset. By far, this was the most unimpressive performance I've seen from a team that is supposed to be ranked in the top 10. Nova looked terrible. Temple just beat them inside all day and I think that will be Nova's downfall this year as they are great on the perimeter but lack inside scoring, rebounding, etc.
  
  This means UK will likely move into the #3 spot behind the Big XII powers Kansas and Texas.

  I don't know if anyone caught it or not but it was pretty clear that the Temple fans were full of themselves after this big win. As the fans stormed the court they chanted "We want Kansas!" at the top of their lungs! The #1 Jayhawks visit Temple on Jan. 2 and I fully expect Temple to challenge KU from start to finish. As Temple proved today they are a totally different team capable of beating anyone on their homecourt. It should be a good challenge for Kansas but be careful what you wish for Temple Owl fans.

  UK will be the new #3. Hopefully the B12 teams are as overrated as they have been in football the last couple of years.......but Kansas Im sure is legit.
