I like it, they're better than the middle and bottom teams of most BCS conferences. -

Navy has been pretty sted-fast about honoring the games they have scheduled up to that point. I also think their contract with CBS is playing a role in it.gerb131;1063553 wrote:They have to wait til 2015 for credibility. -

They are guaranteed to make more than their CBS deal now. That was a huge hold up. In addition, they are able to keep their commitments to Notre Dame, Army and Air Force.
The Big East is apparently signing a deal with NBC. They rolled the dice with letting their ESPN contract expire. -

This has been published already. CBS sports Network stated the buyout going forward after the Navy commitment is now $10 million.Little Danny;1063614 wrote:Is that some inside info. you gleemed from your employer? My pm is open -
Little DannyAll I know is if this is the type of fan who would come to Cincinnati to watch the Midshipmen play the Bearcats, I welcome the addition

Con_AlmaNavy will maintain their TV contract with CBS sports separate of the Big East until it expires.
Navy got everything in the deal. There was no way they were joining without it.
No buyout fee.
Kept their own TV contract.
Maintained scheduling ability with Notre Dame, Air Force and Army. -
