vball10setwhat a dbag--Saban should pay this guy's 2012 negotiated salary out of his own pocket
"Coach Saban said he wished he would’ve been able to tell me before I quit my old job, sold my house, moved all the way across the country with my family and had six other coaching offers I turned down instead of telling me now," said Nussmeir as he stood next to his crying wife and kids on the front lawn of the new Tuscaloosa house that they can no longer afford. "He (Saban) said the only reason he can’t have me join his staff for this season is because he can’t have too many offensive coordinators. He can only have one. And he hired three. But he said he was going to bring me in for the 2013 season. And I know it's true because he said he would pinky swear that he would keep his word about that – which has to really, really mean something."

'Grayshirt is another new term and is applied to the prospect that signs a letter of intent in February, but doesn't report in the fall with his teammates. He delays entry to college until midyear, i.e. January. That NCAA five-year clock doesn't start ticking until the player enrolls as a full time student, so gray-shirting is really a delayed version of red-shirting. For Example, Texas Tech, signed 34 players in February 2006, but NCAA rules prevent them from enrolling more than 25 to start the fall. Some of those nine other players gray-shirted during the 2006 fall season. They cannot enroll in college as full time students, can’t receive their scholarship, nor practice. It is like getting an extra year of practice, because most of these players don’t see the game field until two years later and they have the advantage of going through an extra spring practice.'Commander of Awesome;1058535 wrote:What exactly is a grayshirt? -

wtf are you talking about? If Saban actually had this guy move, etc. under the premise of employment, and then pulled the rug out from under him after he got there, then hell yes he should be responsible, or at the very least held accountable!!!slcoach;1058551 wrote:You have got to be kidding? An example would be Todd Boeckman. That's why it seemed like he was around forever.vball10set;1058554 wrote:'Grayshirt is another new term and is applied to the prospect that signs a letter of intent in February, but doesn't report in the fall with his teammates.
