Beat Stanford last season. Year before beat USC, Cal and Oregon State who all were pretty highly ranked coming into gamerobj55;1035829 wrote:When was the last time they beat a good team? Stanford is their one big win in how many years? -
robj55So they've beaten Stanford the last 2 years, a team they are way more talented than. 2 years ago they lost to them, Boise and OSU. Last year they lose to Auburn and this year LSU and USC. If they lose this game that makes them 2-7 against good teams with the only wins against Stanford.

I'm just not sold, every time they play a D that can slow them down a bit or match them on O they lose.Classyposter58;1035840 wrote:Beat Stanford last season. Year before beat USC, Cal and Oregon State who all were pretty highly ranked coming into game -

I agree with that assessment. About James, not Musberger. He's a McCluster/Sproles/Spiller. Don't see him being an every down back.SportsAndLady;1035847 wrote:Musberger just called L James a future 3rd down back in the NFL lol fuckin moron -

Sproles is the guy that comes to my mind too when I think about James at the next level. -

Do you think he'll be an every down back?SportsAndLady;1035847 wrote:Musberger just called L James a future 3rd down back in the NFL lol ****in moron -

Yeah but his cutting ability reminds me a lot of Jamaal Charles who ripped up the league a year ago. The Chiefs make the playoffs with CharlesMulva;1035858 wrote:I agree with that assessment. About James, not Musberger. He's a McCluster/Sproles/Spiller. Don't see him being an every down back.
Only 2-3 teams a year can compete with them though. Jeeze how many teams when every big game they're in? Come on this is a stupid commentrobj55;1035845 wrote:I'm just not sold, every time they play a D that can slow them down a bit or match them on O they lose. -

You would just think they would be better than 2-6 in big games, that's all.Classyposter58;1035879 wrote:Yeah but his cutting ability reminds me a lot of Jamaal Charles who ripped up the league a year ago. The Chiefs make the playoffs with Charles

Charles is a beast, but he's never been an every down back either. Even last year when he went for 1500 yards or whatever Thomas Jones had more carries than him, Charles just averaged a million yards a carry to make up for it.Classyposter58;1035879 wrote:Yeah but his cutting ability reminds me a lot of Jamaal Charles who ripped up the league a year ago. Especially now that he tore up his knee it's almost a guarantee they go to a 2 back system next year in my opinion.
Not saying James won't be a good player, but I can't see him being a workhorse back. He's the change of pace. -
SportsAndLadyHe'll be a starter for sure..he's fast as shit and has unreal vision.
But my whole point was you don't call somebody a third down back unless that's their peak. -

Chris Johnson is a similar back to James as well. And you really don't need a 2 back system anymore with how much teams passMulva;1035895 wrote:Charles is a beast, but he's never been an every down back either. Classyposter58Musberger really just said, "Both teams are looking for a W"

Azubuike24Back to back "stops" by both teams...wow.

Which conference are the refs from? SEC and B1G refs worry about that shit to painful extents, but others are more lenientccrunner609;1035926 wrote:how is that not a flag when James runs down the field pointing at the stands? -
Hb31187was it fully recovered in bounds?

Hb31187Think it should be overturned imo

Agree..rootin for Oregon but the guy who recovered the ball definitely touched the white line before fully recovering the ball -
Hb31187
Yeah it looked to me like before he had full control his momentum carried him out of bounds.SportsAndLady;1035989 wrote:Agree..rootin for Oregon but the guy who recovered the ball definitely touched the white line before fully recovering the ball
Oh well though -
wildcats20There's no way a spike takes only 1 second.

tk421Oregon totally soft prevent. There shouldn't be any time left, the clock ran out.
