darbypitcher22it was pretty good, but also amazing how they got away with all of that stuff. Calling up Oklahoma's hotel and virtually telling their whole team you are going to beat them down was pretty balsy

wildcats20Anyone know if there are plans to rebuild the Orange Bowl?? Or another stadium for the U?? I know they play at whatever the hell it's called now, Land Shark Stadium(I think?).
-
Fabiolol a lil over the top with a dramatic singing of "All about da U"
-
darbypitcher22I think plans are to tear down the Orange Bowl... so get used to Joe Robbie/Pro Player/Dolphins/Landshark Stadium

Orange Bowl has been completely demolished now, and the Marlins' new stadium is going on the site (construction began in July, to open in 2012).wildcats20 wrote: Anyone know if there are plans to rebuild the Orange Bowl?? soupcity99what a great show. Billy corbin who is the director was on the colin cowherd show on friday. He is a Miami grad and said the show was the tell the true story good and bad. He talked about how alot of the people at the U who are still thier wanted nothing to do with this project and blocked anything they could but I though it was great.

ironman02Very interesting. I was pretty young when Miami's program was at its best, so I don't remember most of that stuff very well. Those teams were absolutely stacked with talent though...world-class athletes everywhere.
They talked a lot of trash, but they backed it up most of the time. And after seeing some of the stuff that they did, I can't even imagine what else they did that people will probably never know about. I would say that Coral Gables was a pretty crazy place during the 80s/early 90s.
It's amazing how sports seem to run in cycles, and college football in the state of Florida is a great example of that. Miami owned most of the 80s and started a trend that would continue with Florida State during the 90s. Miami was back for a couple years as FSU began to decline a little, but now Florida has become the dominant team in the state of Florida. All three programs have been pretty consistent in the last couple decades for the most part, but it seems like one takes its turn as a national powerhouse, then moves over for the next. -
dm27i had to miss it and wasn't able to record it. is there anywhere to watch it online or will ESPN replay it tonight???

j_crazyI was a HUGE Cane fan up until the mid 90's.
I loved that swagger and that bravado. When the rules came down and they quite prancing around I quit following them. That's the only reason I like OSU more now.
