I was wondering if I should start my own thread as well.

    But seriously, congrats to Mark.

That's whom I'd have voted for.

    Congrats!! Well earned!!

Tonight, a toast to Archie Griffin, still College Footballs ONLY two time Heisman Trophy Winner...
  • wes_mantooth
I don't think the best player won....I think Suh is the best in the nation. But congrats to him anyhow.

Side note.....this is the least hype I can ever remember for the heisman trophy.
  • ironman02
Very deserving of the award. The performance against Florida's defense in the SEC Championship had to weigh heavily on the voters' minds.

Congrats Mark Ingram....Side Note he has a little kids voice.

Loved his reaction, seeing his emotions really hit me how much this award means to football. You can tell hes a real good kid with a real passion for this game.

The trustee stated it was the closest race ever, I can't wait to see the breakdown

So my thread gets deleted even though I posted it first, just because your a mod? Not cool. (Really, I don't care.)

Well, We don't need to play the national championship game now because Alabama doesn't stand a chance with the reigning Heisman Trophy winner on their roster.

It will be Ingram, Gerhart, McCoy, Suh and Tebow in that order. Take that to the bank.

I didn't expect Ingram to win it but you have to feel good for the kid.

    28 POINT DIFFERENCE!!!!
  • ironman02
Wow. He won it by 28 points over Gerhart.
  • ts1227
Big Ten Country votes for the two smash mouth runners to put him over the top.

    Not too surprising there.

    The official finishing order.

    Ingram
    Gerhart
    McCoy
    Suh
    Tebow
  • Fabio
Tebow looked sorta ticked... No way he was expecting to win it this year with his performance this season.

I wonder who Timmy actually voted for?? The CBS guys earlier today tried to get him to say if he voted for himself or not, but he wouldn't take the bait.
  • wes_mantooth
off subject, but is Ingram projected as a top 5 pick?

Nevermind, I forgot he is a sophomore.
  • sleeper
    Congrats Mark, well deserved.

Sorry Tebow, better luck next year.

He's a true sophomore, so he has at least another year left in college.
  • the_system
Congrats to Ingram. I can't argue that pick.

How McCoy ended up in 3rd over Suh is beyond me. The midwest, northeast, and east all had Ingram, Gerhart, McCoy. I'd like to know the percentage of voters from those regions that turned in their votes early, because they couldn't have seen Suh single handedly beat the heisman trophy right out of McCoy's hands.
