If Houston wins they get an auto bid. If they lose they fall out of the top 14 (in my opinion) and don't qualify as an at-large.

    No changes from last week.

    BCS National Championship Game
LSU (13-0, 8-0, SEC Champion) vs. Alabama (11-1, 7-1, At Large)

    Rose Bowl
    Wisconsin (11-2, 7-1, Big Ten Champion) vs. Oregon (11-2, 8-1, Pac-12 Champion)

    Fiesta Bowl
Oklahoma (10-2, 7-2, Big XII Champion) vs. Stanford (11-1, 8-1, At Large)

    Orange Bowl
Virginia Tech (12-1, 7-1, ACC Champion) vs. Houston (13-0. 8-0. At Large)

    Sugar Bowl
Michigan (10-2, 6-2, At Large) vs. West Virginia (9-3, 5-2, Big East Champion)

    Rose tied to Wisconsin.
    Rose tied to Oregon.
    Orange tied to Virginia Tech.
    Fiesta tied to Oklahoma.

Sugar picks first to replace LSU. They take Michigan.
Fiesta picks next. They take Stanford.
Sugar picks next. They take West Virginia.
Orange picks last and has to take Houston.

Well here's the required tie ins(I'm going to put the favorites in as the winners of their conference)

National Title Game: LSU vs. Alabama
Fiesta Bowl: Oklahoma State vs. at large
Sugar Bowl - At Large(due to loss of SEC) vs. at large
Orange Bowl - Virginia Tech vs. at large
Rose Bowl - Oregon vs. Wisconsin

That means there are four at large spots. One has to go to the Big East winner, we'll assume Houston gets an auto qualification.

The order of picks will be: Sugar(due to SEC loss), Fiesta, Sugar, Orange

I think the picks will go...
    Sugar: Michigan
    Fiesta: Stanford
    Sugar: Houston
    Orange: Louisville

Giving us a final Bowl lineup of
    Nat Title: LSU vs. Alabama
    Fiesta: Oklahoma State vs. Stanford
    Sugar: Michigan vs. Houston
    Orange: Virginia Tech vs. Louisville
    Rose: Oregon vs. Wisconsin

I have a feeling if Oklahoma st. Beats Oklahoma by a couple scores they will get enough votes in the polls to put them past Alabama to move into the title game

Seems to me they get right about 50% of the time which is about the same as the old system.
Auburn did not deserve it. Oklahoma and USC were just as good and started ranked ahead of Auburn. Just bad timing for Auburn.

The rest of the arguments, sans Oklahoma over Texas (possibly, although Oklahoma blasted the team who beat Texas just a week later by like 6 TD's and also won the Conference Title game), we're arguing for non-BCS teams to get in. While I love to see a Cinderella story, none of those teams would have beaten the champion that season. The only team who could have done so, IMO, was Utah in 08, only because of the match-up they would have had against Tebow and Urban Meyer. Would have been an interesting game, but I still don't see any way those non-BCS teams would have won it all.

There is no way Boise 2 years ago or TCU last year would have beaten Alabama or Auburn in either of those seasons. No way.

It's crazy to think that just six years ago, an SEC team went undefeated and didn't even get a chance to play for the national title.

No one thought Utah would beat Alabama in the Sugar Bowl or Boise St would beat Oklahoma in the Fiesta Bowl both were a TD+ underdogs. This system is no better than the previous one.

It is and now many people/analyst are saying LSU doesn't even have to win against Georgia to get into the NC game. Thats the BS... I mean BCS system at its best.

Is that all you do is QQ about this? Say LSU doesnt beat georgia and Bama cant make it IYO because they didnt win their conference. Who do you have in the championship game? OK ST vs Va Tech? Sounds like a great match up that would rival the ratings of a cavs clippers game!!

I didn't realize the BCS was created to get the best ratings match-up. If 2 teams playing for the NC ,who couldn't win their own conference, is what determines College Footballs "National Champion" and is what you want then good for you.

Who do you think should be in the game if LSU loses to Georgia?

Georgia and Okla St (provided they beat Okla) Georgia will have done something on a neutral field (beat the concensus #1 team right now) that Alabama couldn't do at home and it would make Georgia the Champion of the SEC the concensus #1 conference in the Nation.
