Thats awesome that Arkansas State is receiving votes.

Unreal, the SEC has the top 3 ranked schools in the country in the same sub division of their conference.

It's insane, and the bad thing is it's hard to make an argument against it too.

I just marvel at the dominance of that conference. 5 straight national titles by 4 teams, and now having the top 3 ranked teams in the country from the same sub division of their conference. They are ruling college football in a way that has never been seen post 1900.

Everyone tried to deny it for a while, but at a certain point resistance is futility as they keep raising an already insanely high bar with what they are accomplishing on the field.

I remember how crazy we were all going when OSU/Mich were #1/2 in the country in 06 like it was the biggest thing ever, in the SEC that has become common place. It is just amazing.

If titles were only awarded on paper it would be one thing, but for 5 years in a row no other conference has managed to beat them in a title game. Doesn't that say something about the depth and clutchness of the conference that they continually get it done on the field.
  • vball10set
ok Iggy, we get it..the SEC is good, so please, stop slobbering
  • Pick6
So more than likely, LSU is going to beat Arkansas and play Bama in a rematch in the ship..shouldnt even be a rematch. What if Bama wins? Should they be the champion?

No, it says that the best team from that conference has been the best team in the country.

You keep thinking your logic that the SEC has no depth, and its just like every other conference except for their champion team.

Would Boise St be 3rd if they had a FG kicker?.....everything was setting up for them but they did not take care of business.
  • cats gone wild
Its been easy to see that this Boise team isnt in comparison to the Boises of the past. They just arent that good. But, if they didnt lose.....they could of caused a mess.

No it says nothing other than the best team in the country(which is debatable since some undefeated schools were never given a chance) came from that conference. LSU winning a title doesn't mean that the other 75% of the conference isn't complete garbage.

So whats that say about the B10 considering the SEC has 5 ranked in the top 14 in the AP, while the B10 has only one?

The B1G has a deeper conference that beats up on each other. The SEC has a few teams at the top fluffed up by the mediocrity at the bottom.

Too bad Penn State didn't show up for the first half against Nebraska. If they were 10-1 (7-0) right now, they would be in the mix. They were #12 when they lost and everyone lost ahead of them the last few weeks. They would be top 5 right now. Oh, what could have been...

There's no way the voters would place Penn State in the top 5. Pretty sad that Wisconsin is the best team in the country but has to play in a conference where you have to get by someone other than Bama to win the conference.

I'm curious about the Auburn game with Alabama. Not saying it's going to happen... but Auburn could sneak up on them.

Christmas would come early if both of them lost and then Arkansas got beat by Georgia.

Look at the SEC's bowl performance after their top team or 2. It's no better than anyone else's. You SEC fanboys can't even understand praise when given it. You guys have had the best team for the past 5 years, but that doesn't mean anything in terms of conference depth.

It means that college football has no dominant teams this year (with the exception of LSU, and they have some offensive problems).

Virginia Tech-Oklahoma State title game? What would happen if the Cowboys lost to Oklahoma? Can't put Stanford in the title game, because they won't be their division champ. Va Tech-Boise State?
