Braxton Miller update

good point...it seems to me he was hurt for portions of his junior and senior yearsheadlock165;928886 wrote:It's my understanding Miller has been injury prone in the past and I knew playing football in the Big 10 wasn't going to change this. When you have a dual threat QB like Miller, you have to take the good with the bad. In this case, injuries (especially early in his career) will probably be the norm.. -

This. The team doctors said he couldn't go back in, not Miller or the coaches.
End of story.
Obviously, they (the doctors) were concerned that playing on it more was only going to make things substantially worse, and possibly risk a much more serious injury.
I don't think any of us are in a position to judge whether he should have gone back in. It's fair to talk about it...but not fair to berate him about it. -
Scarlet_BuckeyeCouple places starting to Tweet now that Braxton Miller WILL in fact start at QB this weekend. Supposedly Joe Bauserman is STILL listed as 2nd string.

No supposedly about it. That's how the roster reads. I can't wait until this staff is summarily fired at the end of the season. I think I'll stand up and applaud.Scarlet_Buckeye;928996 wrote:Couple places starting to Tweet now that Braxton Miller WILL in fact start at QB this weekend. Shane FalcoIf "Row 42 of B deck" steps back on the field to take a snap..... Fickel should immediately be FIRED!

Anyone hear something a bit more definitive?
I've got an update for you...you're a gigantic douchebag. Go start a thread on that one. -

FWIW, according to 97.1 Miller is listed as this weeks starter and Bauserman is listed #2Scarlet_Buckeye;928723 wrote:Is this your opinion, or did the Dispatch state this? Just wondering. -
berryBauserman was gonna be pulled for the next series. There was only 1 football left.

I'm not disputing this, but can you post a link in which it has been confirmed the doctors held Miller out? You have made this claim on two threads I have now read and I never heard this before you posted it.Writerbuckeye;928830 wrote:You people are hilarious.

Would you rather have had a POSSIBLE win over Nebraska or lose Miller for at least several more weeks because he aggravated the injury?
In any event, it doesn't matter what you or I think: the doctors made this call. In college sports, the doctors have the final say.
Fickell should have been fired after the Toledo game. It was clear he had no clue on how to lead a team.Shane Falco;929358 wrote:If "Row 42 of B deck" steps back on the field to take a snap..... Fickel should immediately be FIRED! -
WriterbuckeyeIt was discussed on the O-Zone and their reporter, Brandon Castel, said that Miller was stalking the sidelines and wanted to go back into the game.
While it wasn't explicitly stated the doctor(s) prevented this, it was implied.
I based my post on this and the fact that Jim Tressel said in several interviews that when a player is injured, Ohio State's policy is to let the doctor make the final call on whether they can return to a game. Not the player; not the coaching staff.
There's no reason to believe that policy has changed under Fickell. -

I see. I just am not sure I am buying that. I think if the doctors prevented Miller from going back in, it would have been reported on. I think Miller made that call. LJI am sorry, but I have to neg rep every grown man that calls an 18 year old TEENAGER a "pussy" or anything of the sort.

He's 26, owns a house and played pro baseball. Pretty different than an 18 yr old kid living in the dorms and was in HS this time last year.stroups;930212 wrote:Bauserman throws like a pussy.... but he is 25 -
