Time to hold some posters accountable...

The linebacking hasn't been that great.OneBuckeye;865508 wrote: These kids [referring to the linebacking core] were highly recruited coming out of school, Sweat played great last year out of position. Klien played well in limited action.
We're at 2 losses already, and we haven't even gotten into the meat of our schedule yet.OneBuckeye;865508 wrote:I think you have 3 losses max. MSU or Miami. Nebraska Wisconsin or Illinois. They are too good to lose them all. This is a top 5 team if Pryor was back and we had 0 suspensions. We should be top 10 without.
OSU has not reloaded with talent. The talent is depleted and young. OSU is nowhere close to 5-0 heading into Nebraska.dat dude;865580 wrote:The schedule is not that difficult and OSU has reloaded with talent. I would be disappointed if OSU was not 5-0 heading into Lincoln, Nebraska. -
OneBuckeye1. Our linbackers haven't played bad by any means, our defense has been outstanding except for a couple of runs against Miami.
2. We still have the talent, we should have won the MSU and maybe even the Miami game if our offense had anything that resembled good playcalling and coaching.
I stand by those comments.
That being said with the issues with the offense, getting them to produce enough to beat anyone is a concern. -

I agree with you here.OneBuckeye;924874 wrote:1. Our linbackers haven't played bad by any means, our defense has been outstanding except for a couple of runs against Miami.

Why does the OP feel the need to call out specific posts? -
Scarlet_BuckeyeSweat has been the only bright spot at LB (and he's not even close to the caliber of a 'A.J. Hawk', 'James Laurinaitis' or 'Bobby Carpenter' even). Storm Klein sucks and Etienne Sabino has been so quiet that the common fan doesn't even know he plays (reminds me a lot of Marcus Freeman).

se-alumThis team has talent, but it's very young talent.

Because if you're going to say something, then you should be held accountable [for what you say]. I'm tired of people flaming and providing shitty analysis/predictions, and then passing them off as if they're some sort of 'expert'. It just garbage and gets in the way of good analysis that some other posters provide.Automatik;924881 wrote: Why does the OP feel the need to call out specific posts? -

Yes, it is. So why would people predict that this is a 2-3 loss team then? That's just asinine.se-alum;924886 wrote:This team has talent, but it's very young talent. -

So you're some fucking expert? I don't see anything wrong w/ OneBuckeye's post regarding the linebackers. Looks like you're another one who needs to step down from your pedestal.Scarlet_Buckeye;924887 wrote:Because if you're going to say something, then you should be held accountable [for what you say]. Two of your three examples are two of the top 10 linebackers to play within the last decade. Not being great doesn't mean he's necessarily bad.Scarlet_Buckeye;924884 wrote:Sweat has been the only bright spot at LB (and he's not even close to the caliber of a 'A.J. Ohio State has some issues, but the defense isn't one of them. -
Scarlet_Buckeye
Show me where I claimed to be an expert? All i did was point out OneBuckeye's flaws in his comments. If you can't take the heat, then don't make the claims.Automatik;924891 wrote:So you're some ****ing expert? I don't see anything wrong w/ OneBuckeye's post regarding the linebackers. Agreed.Tobias Fünke;924897 wrote:Ohio State has some issues, but the defense isn't one of them.
But all I'm saying is this is one of OSU's weaker LB cores in years, and many are acting as if it's your typical LB core. It's not. -

Where was the flaw in his post about the linebackers? Like I said....please step down.Scarlet_Buckeye;924898 wrote:Show me where I claimed to be an expert? All i did was point out OneBuckeye's flaws in his comments. If you can't take the heat, then don't make the claims. -
dat dudeLulz. I'm not perfect. I'm ok with that.
Btw, if you are confusing me with an "expert," that's your problem. I'm just some random OSU fan giving thoughts. Nothing more, nothing less. -

With an average offense, the defense has been good enough to be a NC contender.Scarlet_Buckeye;924866 wrote:The linebacking hasn't been that great.
This accountability stuff works both ways. -

AutomatikYeah I don't have many issues with the defense other than poor tackling at times. They did enough to win both Miami and MSU games.

If the linebacker play was the biggest problem this team had, they would be 5-0 and in the top 5.Automatik;924910 wrote:Yeah I don't have many issues with the defense other than poor tackling at times. They did enough to win both Miami and MSU games. -

I said OSU had a lot of youth and a pretty abysmal linebacking core this year... OneBuckeye said he disagreed and that he thought the LB core was actually pretty talented. While our defense has played lights out, the LB play hasn't been as suggested.Automatik;924902 wrote:Where was the flaw in his post about the linebackers? Like I said....please step down. -

WriterbuckeyeI didn't realize that only experts were allowed to give opinions on an Internet message board.
Lighten up, Francis.
Most of us who are posting love OSU as much as you do and want them to succeed -- so I'm guessing more than a few have their Scarlet & Grey colored glasses on while posting.
Fact of the matter is that if OSU were even getting average QB play and offensive coaching, they'd probably be undefeated right now. The offensive coaching has been nearly inept, and the QB play not far behind...but one could argue that's due to poor coaching and preparation as well. -
dlazzIt makes sense to hold posters accountable for OSU starting the season poorly.
I mean, the performance of the team this year relies entirely on the opinion of those on the OC. -
IliketurtlesHahaha this stuff is awesome. Now its not only the SEC trolls calling buckeye fans out its other buckeyes as well. I love it.
I think the only way you could call someone out right now is if they said anything good about the offense. -
Scarlet_Buckeye
Okay. Adam Homan then. Sweat is the closest thing to Adam Homan, and I would still say Homan was better than Sweat. Sabino has been a ghost and Klein has been awful.Tobias Fünke;924897 wrote:Two of your three examples are two of the top 10 linebackers to play within the last decade. -

Agreed. I don't see the point in bitching about the linebackers or defense at all when they are 13th in total defense and 108th in total offense. Yes...108th.Writerbuckeye;924929 wrote:I didn't realize that only experts were allowed to give opinions on an Internet message board.
