#12 Michigan def Northwestern 42-24
-
Trueblue23This should be a great test for the (gulp) upstart Wolverines.
I want to see how this offense performs on the road, and how the defense stacks up against Persa.
Thoughts? -
daveExpecting a shootout, but I thought the same against SDSU. I'm sure they will continue to bring the heat against Persa, but if the NW o-line can give him just enough time he will eat up the secondary, even though it's improved. I don't think he'll make it through the whole game though. I also don't think NW can stop Michigan.

dwccrewEh, Northwestern isn't very good without Persa and they are slightly below mediocore with Persa. Michigan wins this easily. 34-10
-
MulvaI'll go 41-31 UM. Northwestern won't be a pushover with Persa back.

Persa will struggle in "first" game back, IMO. Mattison will get some pressure on him and keep him moving and thinking.Mulva;920365 wrote:I'll go 41-31 UM. Northwestern won't be a pushover with Persa back.
One thing I like about Michigan right now is that they seem to be improving each week, and gaining confidence. The defense may be lacking in talent, but they are playing well and making plays. I think that will continue this week at Northwestern
Northwestern won't be able to stop Michigan's offense. -
OneBuckeyeWow UM is #12?

Numbers 10, 11, 12, 14, 15, and 16 all lost this past week, which shot them way up past most of them. -

Crazy eh? #12 by default though. Not sure what I think of it yet.OneBuckeye;920425 wrote:Wow UM is #12? -

Me either. I hope they get as high as possible and are undefeated when OSU beats them in November.WebFire;920429 wrote:Crazy eh? #12 by default though. Not sure what I think of it yet. -
gorocks99I'll be at this one up in the second deck of Ryan Field. I think it's a big trap game for the Wolverines, honestly.

He played this week and threw 4 TDs. Unless first is in quotes for a reason I'm just not getting.WebFire;920416 wrote:Persa will struggle in "first" game back, IMO.
I agree Northwestern has no chance of stopping Michigan's offense. -

Just because he got hurt. I honestly didn't pay attention to how he did, just saw they lost and he left the game. People seemed to be making a big deal that he was playing this week.Mulva;920709 wrote:He played this week and threw 4 TDs. Unless first is in quotes for a reason I'm just not getting.

j_crazyMeechigan is still weak on defense. Persa should have big numbers. But UM still has one of the best offenses in cfb. UM by 17 in a fun to watch 80 point scorefest.

Trueblue23I've heard that Persa isn't going to play... just take it fwiw.

WebFireI'm not seeing anything anywhere about Persa being out. Not even a mention on their Rivals site. Keep us posted if you hear more.

I haven't heard if he's playing this weekend, but he did reinjure his hamstring during the Illinois game and did not finish the game.WebFire;921420 wrote:I'm not seeing anything anywhere about Persa being out. Not even a mention on their Rivals site. Keep us posted if you hear more. -

Yeah he didn't play very long against Illinois. -

Supposedly he pulled himself out after getting some funny feelings in his Achilles. But they said it was normal, and can cause some unwanted feeling that makes you take it easy on it.FatHobbit;921421 wrote:I haven't heard if he's playing this weekend, but he did reinjure his hamstring during the Illinois game and did not finish the game.
He supposedly practiced yesterday. I'm not sold that he is healthy. Even if he plays, I think it limits his mobility, making it easier to pressure him. -
dat dudeAccording to everything I've read, he is full-go for Saturday. Fitz says he looked "great" at practice.
Didn't Persa play all but 7 minutes of the Illinois game anyway? -
FatHobbitSI is also reporting Persa is ready to go.
