The Buckeyes fell out of The Associated Press college football rankings for the first time in nearly seven years, ending the nation's longest streak of appearances in the Top 25.
Coming off a 24-6 beating at Miami, the Buckeyes dropped from No. 17 in the media poll released Sunday. They had been ranked in 103 straight Top 25s since last being left out on Nov. 20, 2004. -

You've chuckled at Ohio (3-0) receiving votes in 2 separate threads. Curious....why?ts1227;901569 wrote:Others receiving votes:

Have you watched the Bobcats play at all this year? They have lopsided non-conference wins over New Mexico State (WAC), Gardner-Webb (Big South), and Marshall (C-USA).
Frank Solich has Ohio consistently competitive in the MAC now. Frankly I think that if the Bobcats played Ohio State this year, they'd give the Buckeyes a very competitive game in much the same way Toledo gave Ohio State a scare in The Shoe. -
ts1227I watched the NMSU game, and the second half of the Marshall game.
The offense obviously looks good, but they have played a 1AA team, NMSU (who is not good, even with the Minnesota upset), and a middle of the road CUSA team.
I was more than impressed to see them fire on all cylinders last night especially Tettleton, but top 25 vote worthy based on the 3 teams we have played makes it a little suspect. If they beat Rutgers, then that makes sense. -

Ohio St. doesn't even deserve to be receiving votes after the pitiful offensive performance last night. They were embarassed by a BAD Miami team. The defense actually didn't play bad outside of the 1st quarter, but they got no help at all from the offense. This team will struggle to maintain a .500 record IMO.
Miller needs to be the QB going forward. He'll only get better, Bauserman will not improve. He is at his best now. Not sure how much Miller will improve though with Fickell at the helm. Fickell is not ready to be a HC at this level yet. -

Mostly that ND only got 1 more vote than Ohio. I still am shocked by the 2 voted for Ohio based off of their schedule to this point, thoughdwccrew;901908 wrote:Pretty sure he is laughing at ND. -

cats gone wildAt least LSU is #2 in the AP. Next week will show who should be #2 out of Bama and LSU instead of all the back and forth stuff. LSU plays at WVU and Bama plays Arkansas. Two great games, and LSU's 3 ranked team in 4 weeks on the road.
