Lol come on, he chooses not to zip the ball in?
  • Crimson streak
A lot of the times yes. With more zip means less accurate. When you don't have to squeeze it in a tight window then why zip it in?

Because the quicker the ball gets there, the more time the receiver has to get up field?
  • Crimson streak
Well if it's not accurate then it doesn't matter and actually hinders the receivers ability to get up the field

No one is saying he's not accurate.

Yeah not quite sure whats being argued here. If you CAN zip it in, you should. If you loft it in there it gives the defense a chance to close in and make sure theres no YAC

    Thoughts on the game:

That was the fullest I've ever seen the Glass Bowl in my time here and probably the loudest too. I wish we could have stayed closer so that people would have stayed the whole game but we just made too many mistakes. Dropped passes, dumb penalties will kill you every time.

Don't like the 2 QB system. Owens was clearly more into the flow of the game and I wish he would have gone out there after the INT.

Agreed that Kellen Moore is much more impressive in person. He was a technician last night and as a football fan it was fun to watch.

Hopefully we'll get Dan Molls back in time for MAC play to start. Toledo should have a very good chance to win the MAC based on what we've seen so far but nothing is guaranteed in this sport. They've got to put these tough losses behind them and focus on the goal.

Toledo had a two chances to make it a closer game. The dropped TD in the first half that could have tied it. And the drive in which Owens pass was tipped in the redzone and intercepted (especially after forcing BSU to TODs). Penalties also killed Toledo. Penalties have killed this team 2 weeks in a row. If they can't get more disciplined, they will not win the MAC. If they can get the penalties under control, they should be the favorite.

IMO, this set the tone for the rest of the game..you could literally see the entire sideline slump after this play (and it was the "stud transfer" from Illinois that dropped it--damn!!!)
