Alabama at Penn State

A 16 point win is not a close game(In almost all circumstances). It wasnt a blow out but it wasnt close either.

I disagree. This game was a few catches from PSU WRs away from being a tie game in the 4th quarter and actually if they made the catches at the timethe throws were made, Penn State would have lead the game. I thought it was a much more even game than the score would say. 'Bama had late success that made the stats even more lopsided. Don't get me wrong, Alabama was the better team, I just don't believe they were leaps and bounds better.

What is 'late' success? It was 17-3 at half and 20-3 after 3 quarters.

Penn State was the team with the late success, driving 71 yards to score with under 2 minutes left after Bama had gone up 27-3 and then backed off defensively. That was 28% of their total yards coming in garbage time.

The game was nowhere near as close as the final score would show (and 16 points still isn't close).

Ron Cook of the Post Gazette says Penn State is no longer an elite team. Sadly I kind of agree.

No longer? They haven't been in some time. They've always been pretty fraudulent.

The constant shots of Joe in the box without even headphones on literally contributing nothing was one of the saddest things I've seen in sometime. He looked like he didn't know there was game being played below him.

Agreed. He's essentially the Queen of England. He's just a figurehead. I haven't seen him actively coaching a game in quite a few years. He needs to step down. PSU needs to bring in a new coach and get some fresh blood going in that program.

To many Alumni love Joe Pa, dont see Penn State making him step down at any point in the near future. Too much $ to be lost by pissing off boosters etc...

Absolutely correct... which is why he needs to step down. Hopefully someone can talk some sense into him. I'm all for the elderly staying active... but at some point people have to realize they can't do the things they used to be able to do.
