goosebumpsI'm glad that Coach Jones is getting Teague, Abernathy and Poteat some reps at RB. Should help ease the transition next year when Pead is gone. Teague has been nursing a nagging injury the last few weeks of camp, so I was actually surprised that we got him on the field at all.

Agreed. With those three young guys and the addition of 2012 recruits Dennis Norfleet and Deonte Buckley the 'Cats are going to have a nice stable of backs for a long time to come.goosebumps;882959 wrote:I'm glad that Coach Jones is getting Teague, Abernathy and Poteat some reps at RB. imex99How's he playing

Little DannyHe is not. Starting RB Isaiah Pead is having a monster year and Teague is tuck behind three other running backs (including another freshmen standout, Jamel Poteat). No inside informatin, but I would not be surprised if Teague is red-shirted.

goosebumpsYeah I believe that Teague is nursing an injury right now (hamstring?). He'll hopefully be red shirted.
Danny as far as playing time at RB he's really behind 4. (Pead, Winn, Poteat, and Abernathy) Abernathy has looked good returning kicks so far too, no Gilyard, but very competent. -
Little DannyOh, I know. I was just keeping it simple for others on here who don't follow UC (which includes everyone but you and me since I haven't seen 3reppom on here since he started his own board).
I agree with you about Quatro. I think he is going to bust one loose before the end of the season. -

I like the name Quatro, I've been calling him RDA haha. I really think we'll have one hell of a 3 headed beast next year at RB. RDA, Teague and Poteat for 3 years? Yes please.Little Danny;921137 wrote:Oh, I know. Is a nagging hamstring injury enough for a medical redshirt?goosebumps;921120 wrote:Yeah I believe that Teague is nursing an injury right now (hamstring?). He'll hopefully be red shirted.

I am not 100% sure. I think it is one of those crazy gray areas that the NCAA has never been consistent on. UC will likely argue that Teague's injury resulted in him missing the majority of fall camp which prevented him from learning the system and working up the depth chart. There are other cases out there were a player has received the exception and there are other examples where the NCAA has told the school to pound sand. From other cases I have seen they key will be based on the medical documentation.se-alum;921647 wrote:Is a nagging hamstring injury enough for a medical redshirt? -

I doubt they'll be able to use the fall camp stuff, since they obviously were willing to burn his redshirt by playing him in a blow out. It'll probably come down to Cincy proving that the injury was so bad that he could not play the rest of the year.Little Danny;922358 wrote:I am not 100% sure.
