All I am talking about is what is required of him as a mandated reporter. The stuff you're mentioning is what I'm saying isn't relevant to the due process because people will be pissed about that regardless of what happens legally (hence, he no longer has a job).jordo212000;969051 wrote:What about allowing Sandusky to continue having an office, keys to buildings on campus, and allowing him at practice (with little kids) after multiple claims of abuse? Yup. Paterno fulfilled his "obligation" -

Wasn't really directed at you. I knew what you were saying. It was more directed at reclegend -
reclegend22I did read the whole report, and it doesn't answer some very important questions. The most important being, what was Paterno told by Penn State administration -- the athletic director and university president -- about the internal investigation that Paterno most certainly thought had been conducted after he had alerted those proper administrative authorities of McQUeary's accusations. What I believe we will hear from Joe Paterno eventually, is that he was told the situation had been resolved and he was then given the all-is-clear. Remember, Paterno only was aware that what McQueary saw was perhaps sexual in nature, which could have just been a touch or weird angle that was deemed inappropriate by McQueary from his point-of-view and surprise of seeing Sandusky in the shower with a kid. Paterno was NEVER told that intercourse was actually happening.
Again, think about it, Paterno was probably in such shock that any allegation of this type could be brought upon his long-time friend and fellow coach that he probably had a hard time believing it initially as it was. After he had performed his moral and legal obligations of alerting the proper authorities for a situation that he only had word-of-mouth evidence of, Paterno probably asked Sandusky himself the next time he saw him exactly what was going on. What do you think Sandusky told him? Well, Joe, I've been in your shower raping a lot of kids from the foundation. Please. To think that's how that conversation, if it happened, would have gone down is absolutely stupid.
Paterno believed that a situation of this magnitude had been taken care of, and had no reason to believe that elite PSU administration would ensue in a cover-up of this scale behind his back. -

If a grown man is taking shower with a 10 year old. That in itself should have led to PSU barring him access to the facilities. Paterno certainly had the power to bar him from any football facilities. Instead he allowed him to keep an office and use the facilities. What possible reason would a grown many have for taking a shower with a 10 year old?reclegend22;969074 wrote:I did read the whole report, and it doesn't answer some very important questions. reclegend22I don't know, but I believe in Joe Paterno and I firmly believe that, from the information he was given, from both McQueary and eventually the PSU administration regarding the investigation of the matter, that Paterno fully believed that everything had been properly looked into and that the situation was found to be not what McQueary had originally thought (that being the confused, somewhat watered-down version of the event of which McQueary had apprised Paterno. Remember, Paterno said that McQueary seemed bewildered and unsure of what he saw when he spoke with Paterno, so Paterno was never really sure what had happened in that PSU facility. Paterno told who he should have in that scenario. You don't call 9-1-1 based off word-of-mouth accusations, especially when those allegations are against somebody you are that close to. Nobody would.
I just want all of the story to unfold before I also begin to violently hurl stones at an iconic man. -
DeyDurkie5reclegend, get psu's dick out of your mouth and think about the situation at hand. If you can't see that this situation is completely fucked, then you are retarded.

Even Paterno has come out and said he should have done more. If St. Joe says that he didn't handle the situation properly, why don't you believe him?reclegend22;969118 wrote:I don't know, but I believe in Joe Paterno and I firmly believe that, from the information he was given, from both McQueary and eventually the PSU administration regarding the investigation of the matter, that Paterno fully believed that everything had been properly looked into and that the situation was found to be not what McQueary had originally thought (that being the confused, somewhat watered-down version of the event of which McQueary had apprised Paterno. reclegend22Hindsight is always 20-20, as they say. We can't crucify Paterno for that. Looking back, he now knows that the men he respected and trusted, the athletic director and president of Penn State university, and anyone else that had known that sexual intercourse had in fact happened in that football facility, had misled everyone horribly.

I was not aware that Penn State University was constructed of bodily organs instead of buildings. It is an inanimate place, and therefore does not have a penis.Dre Derkie5 wrote:reclegend, get psu's **** out of your mouth and think about the situation at hand. Your need to resort to verbal abuse of others speaks more about you, I think. -

jordo212000ESPN's comment on Corso saying "Where is that little kid"
"Each week, Corso announces which team he's picking in ESPN's game of the week by putting on a funky hat related to the team. This week, a charity auction was held and the winner got to hand the hat to Corso. The winner, Krulewitz told Diane Pucin, was a child. Corso was looking for that child. His comment had nothing to do with the image ESPN cameras were carrying from Penn State."
