I think it'd be a good move for them from a profile standpoint - being an independent isn't going to help them, I don't think - but it will be interesting to see if it comes to pass given that they just left the Mountain West. The Salt Lake Tribune has learned that BYU officials have had discussions with Big 12 officials within the past week regarding the school’s interest in joining the conference, and what conditions and assurances it would need to make the jump exactly a year after announcing they were breaking away from the Mountain West Conference.
It is unclear whether the talks have included an invitation from the Big 12. -

OSHI agree. Good move for them...if it does happen.
Being an independent hasn't really helped Notre Dame either. Just join a conference already. -

I'm guessing Jim McMahon and Steve Young hooked up with some honeys during their years in Provo.Hb31187;879524 wrote:Top athletes are not gonna want to go to a school where you cant even get laid, no matter what conference theyre in -
jordo212000Byu needs a conference. Big 12 gets them AQ status and the Big 12 gets a solid program. Move makes sense for both.
The Big 12 is about to explode though. I think Oklahoma follows A&M out the door -
