If you'd like to relive the entire game you can do so here:

stroupsHoly crap.... when did youtube let you watch entire games? I always thought videos could only be 10 minutes long.

Academic and non-profit accounts have always been allowed to upload longer videos. No idea how this guy was able to upload multiple (like hundreds) full-length games though.stroups;873799 wrote:Holy crap.... when did youtube let you watch entire games? IliketurtlesIm def watching that game right now. Fucking game made have to wake up at 5am and do 5-7 miles morning runs for a month because I showed up late to a meet just to finish watching this game when I was in college my coach almost made it 2 months when the next day I wore a ASU shirt to practice. Yeah he was a Michigan fan lol.
Still should be an interesting game Im sure Michigan will probably beat them by like 20 though. -
bigkahunaThey won't overlook them like they did last time.
-
WebFireThis is exactly why Michigan fans didn't want this. Why on earth did they think this was a good idea. If they beat the 77-0, everyone will ALWAYS remember that game. All they are doing is bringing the horror back into the national spotlight.

Yeah but its not like ASU will have that great of a team like the did in 2007. They had an amazing team that year(thus the D1AA Championship).bigkahuna;873843 wrote:They won't overlook them like they did last time. -
ksig489The 2007 App State team was 2xdefending FCS champions and won it again that year. I personally think they would have been good enough to be a BCS team that year. Easily in the top 25 in FBS of 2007.
The game in 2014 won't be much...UM will pound them for history's sake. This is not a game UM should have signed. They will have to endure a million replays of that 2007 game from the time 2013 ends up until they open with ASU. -

Ya think? I'm not sure if they played Michigan 9 more times they would have won many, if any. (I could be wrong, I only watched the end of that game and maybe one more during the season.) But it was a great game. I watched the end of it in the shoe with my daughter and the marching band. The band was going crazy and I think that was the moment she truly started to appreciate Ohio State football.ksig489;874151 wrote:TI personally think they would have been good enough to be a BCS team that year. I agree with both of you. I don't understand how Michigan benefits at all from this game. And if they did want to schedule them again they shouldn't have scheduled them as the opener, because it gives everyone in the media all summer to talk about it. Schedule it as the second, third, or fourth game and it gives them a week.ksig489;874151 wrote:The game in 2014 won't be much...UM will pound them for history's sake. Ya, those two losses to Wofford and Georgia Southern in 2007 were flukes. -

I agree, Webbie--there is NO REASON for a D1 team from a major power conference to play a FCS team (see OSU/YSU, '07 & '08), ever...everthing to lose, and absolutely NOTHING to gain.WebFire;873844 wrote:This is exactly why Michigan fans didn't want this. They also had some serious injury issues all season that didn't help in those losses. That team, when healthy, was better than the VAST majority of FBS teams that year. -

The 2001 Miami Hurricanes would have won the NFC South...ksig489;874488 wrote:Great job on the wikipedia search!

sleeperMichigan by 30.

RotinajAppy st would win the sec 8 of 10 years.
-
bigkahunaThe bigger picture with that game was that the B1G all around really did have an issue with speed/spread teams. That coupled with the Florida/OSU game made the entire conference look at their defensive schemes and realize that a big portion of the country was moving more towards that type of play. I guess the rest of the B1G has Michigan to thank for exposing themselves first, so everyone else could start to fix without the embarrassment.

LOL at both of these posts. Yeah, I'll bet App St. would have done so well in FBS. How many NFL players were on that roster? Maybe 1 or 2? GTFO! App St. wouldn't have gone over .500 in FBS ball. They pulled off one of, perhaps the biggest, upset in college football history. A combination of playing their best game ever, Michigan overlooking them and luck is what won them the game. Not because they were BCS worthy. I nominate you for bonehead post of the year. App. St. a BCS team? LOL!!!!!!!ksig489;874488 wrote:Great job on the wikipedia search!

Yup. Beanie Wells was lost during that YSU game and it cost us.vball10set;874200 wrote:everthing to lose, and absolutely NOTHING to gain. -

While I agree that it doesn't benefit a team like Ohio State to schedule FCS teams, I don't think losing Beanie changed many outcomes that season. We still would have lost to USC (Beanie was not making up for a 35-3 shallacking). We would have ended up in the bowl game we did losing to Texas and being co-Big Ten champs that season.lhslep134;875207 wrote:Yup. Beanie Wells was lost during that YSU game and it cost us. -
Iliketurtlesksig all teams have injuries whats your fucking point? I'm pretty sure none of ASU stars were injured those games. In the game against Wofford they were completely dominated.
dccrew I know they have at least 2 maybe 2 others in the NFL from that team. -

Looks like Armanti Edwards, Daniel Kilgore (was a freshmen), Mark Legree (Freshmen), Corey Lynch and DJ Smith (freshmen in 07) were the only ASU players on the 2007 team that made NFL rosters. Of those 5, 3 were freshmen and didn't contribute much in that game. Not sure how many of these players will be on a roster by the middle of the season either. My point was and still is that this was not even close to a BCS worthy team in 2007, which I think you probably agree with. I believe ksig was talking out of his ass. ASU would not have gone better than .500 in a BCS conference that season.Iliketurtles;875402 wrote:ksig all teams have injuries whats your ****ing point? Little DannyAppy State is moving up to the FBS next year. By 2014 they'll likely be members of C-USA or the Sun Belt Conference.

I guess when they beat Michigan in 2014 that will make it less embarassing than the 2007 loss then. At least they'd be a FBS team!Little Danny;875957 wrote:Appy State is moving up to the FBS next year. By 2014 they'll likely be members of C-USA or the Sun Belt Conference.
