  I hope we get Urban Meyer. I think he is a good recruiter. How can you point out how long he was at BG and Utah. He left those places not becuase he didnt want to coach his recruits but for better higher paying jobs. That article is stupid.

  Thats comical when you look at the arrests record that Florida had while Meyer was the coach. It was pretty scarey to be honest. I am not sure what to think about Meyer. I don't buy much into those comments from someone who coached with Meyer. You aren't as successful as Meyer without being thorough in recruiting. And fact of the matter is, the assts coaches do most of the leg work when it comes to recruiting. The head coaches usually come in to close the deal when needed. Get a good recruiting coordinator and it makes the head coaches job much easier.
  As for leaving jobs. Well, maybe he is one who likes to seek another challenge. At all three programs, he got them as far as he could. Couldn't go anywhere but down. Many coaches like that challenge of building/taking a program to the top. Once that challenge is over, they are ready for a new one.
  If the OSU job does come up, it'll be interesting to see if they look at Meyer. Not that he had any NCAA violations, but again, he brought in quite a few thugs at UF. I am not sure OSU would be willing to take the chance with the position they could be in with the NCAA. Who knows...

  Tressel had 26 arrests in his first 5 years to Meyer's 30. Most of Meyer's were Zook recruits, and for misd. crap like throwing paper cups or taking a boot off a car. Tow yard owner was mixed up, employee never got the message, player gets arrested. All charges dropped. Ex-girlfriend lies, player gets arrested and misses games. Player proves he is innocent after he was presumed guilty. Player gets jumped by 4 thugs trying to steal his gold necklace, he fights them, cops arrive, 4 thugs run, player gets arrested for 'affray'. I could go on, I'll ask you does less than one more arrest per year make that much difference between Tressel and Meyer?

  Oh those poor Florida players, I'm sure their actions weren't ever the reason they got in trouble. Wrong place, wrong time. How is all their luck so bad? SMH

  no, troll. that guy was booted right off the team. Meyer gave him a chance to come back in a year, but that guy didn't meet terms. What Columbus church do you go to that 4 thugs jump someone?

  And WTF does this thread or my comments have to do with Tressel? The guy isn't coaching OSU anymore. And last I checked, 30 is 5 more than 25. Zooks recruits? Uh huh..and most of Tressels were Coops recruits. U see, I can spin things as well. Really not too tough.
  BTW, Wilson, who fired the AK47 rifle he pulled out of his trunk, was let back on the team by Meyer the following season

  the thread name and my post you quoted were regarding discussion of arrests and the coaches. You fail at spinning it to players fault. You don't like the picture or that 26 is not much better than 30, so you call me a dipshit and assclown. As for players fault, you are allowed your opinion. All charges were dropped about half the time.
