Surprise! : Braylon Heard to make official visit to Ohio State

  • tank2nasty
I hope he doesn't go to coach sweater vest land!
He needs a university where he'll get to showcase his talent as a freshman! OSU is way too deep @ Rb

He didn't call anyone a neophyte ignoramous. Clearly this man is an imposter.

Deserves the look and I'm glad they're giving it to him. Who cares what the depth chart looks like--doesn't mean he couldn't pass a lot of those guys, they haven't proven shit yet either. Plus, I'll take a WELL COACHED kid who is as athletic as him any day.

    Hope he's a Buckeye.

It is likely that Hyde and Corey Brown will be OSU's two best backs next season, but you know Tressel , he is very loyal to his upper classmen.

As I said before & I'll say it again I would love for Mr. Heard to be a I back for my Huskers.

Other than a relationship with Bo, which would be a big positive, what do you see as the advantages Nebraska has over WVU right now? It seems like the WVU program has just as much to offer, maybe more? Pretty exciting time for Mr. Heard, wish him the best.

    I wouldn't worry if I were you.

The Big 12 has a lot more credibility than the Big East, and the B12 Championship was Bo Pelini's coming out party.

True, but the Big 12 North hasn't been very stellar. I guess the question is whether to go try to be the impetus of change for Nebraska or be the next great back in a fun system at WVU? Good position for Heard though, can't really make a bad choice, all good options.

If I were him I'd go to Nebraska. Much more of a chance to be a big star at Nebraska--they need offense BAD and have for a number of years.

Plus for whatever reason (I honestly have no good reason why) Nebraska has always been my second favorite college football program.

Per Rivals I don't have a premium account but they are reporting Braylon Heard is visiting Nebraska this upcoming weekend. Come on Bo close the deal on this young man.

I think he will see the field for Nebraska not so much with the Buckeyes.

I'm a Buckeye, but he needs to go elsewhere. His talent will not get used at OSU. Can't wait to see him play at the college level though!

If he bulks up slightly, he'll see the field as a freshman for the Cornhuskers.

Agreed. Not even that much, I'd say 10 pounds and he'll play as a freshman. May even get faster if he puts 10 pounds on...although I know there are people on this site that think gaining weight makes you slower automatically! Yes, in case you missed it, some actually said that since LeBron is 30-40 pounds heavier than he was in high school he's slower now than he was in high school! LOL!

Go Braylon Heard! For real, screw WVU and I'd love to have you as a Buckeye, but go play for the Huskers!

I was on Nebraska's message boards & they said that Braylon's visit went well. I have my fingers crossed.

I guess verbal commits mean nothing? Did he not commit to WVU? I knew verbals literally meant nothing, but this kid changing his mind.................not good.

IF I agree to sell my house for 165k, and then 4 days later someone I like better offers the same. Is it ok for me to renig on our initial agreement?

He had a breakout season. More opportunities came his way. He is exploring those opportunities. Any kid would do the same in his place.

Kids do this every year. Why are you singling him out? Is it so hard for you to understand that he is 18 years old and wants to consider all options for where he is spending the next 4 years of his life?! He didn't have some of these offers in July when he committed, now he does.

When did you become a troll?

Did the young man, and his parents make a commitment? I married my HS girlfriend, 27 yrs later she prolly thinks other guys look better too. But she made a commitment!!

Dude really...you're comparing apples and oranges.

He's earned the right to take a look at the other opportunities that have come his way--especially when one of them is coming from another Mooney alum. He didn't commit to anything--he verballed. You don't commit until you sign on the dotted line. You married your wife--you didn't commit until you put the ring on her finger and I'm not talking about the engagement ring.
