It's both. He basically called Big Red "Glenville". Can he back up his accusations though?

It was told to me by someone who knows him very well that he talked a lot about his grades to people until he was told to shut up if he ever wanted to play college football. It was said that his initial ACT score was a 12. Somehow, someway, that number jumped to a 27. Was also informed he failed more than one class at Big Red, but his grades were good enough for honors... The Busick's did have a Steubenville address in the Brady Estates section of town, but never used the residence. Another person I know that can see deep within the Big Red program also stated that the program bailed him out of quite a few "situations" while he was in high school...

Basically the story is this, Big Red wanted him and they got him based on the fact they would provide him with the opportunity to play football at the next level for a D1 school. Magically he became an honor student and roll model that WVU was forced to appoint him a teammate role model as soon as he arrived.

I am not surprised, I am not shocked, I am shaking my head. The recruitment is always on here, its about the school name and not the individual student. Win at all cost... Plain and simple.

^^^Few people in the valley have known this for quite sometime, but wasn't openly discussed."Situations" is a kind way to put it SOS. The young man has made some poor decisions and must now pay the price. I do hope he can get his life together.

So, no, you can't back it up.

It was a sad day at my house the day it was announced that Branko was arrested. My 13 year old son had lost another hero... Before Branko went to WVU my son was so excited, and wanted his autograph. We had a mutual friend who told Branko and instead of just signing the football and sending it to us, he took the time to meet with my son and spend over an hour talking to him and some other kids. That is the guy I remember, the one who always took the time to make someone that looked up to him feel special. I hope that he can find that person once again!

you're right, it IS sad--unfortunately these kids don't think of the collateral damage they cause, and as you said, hopefully he can right his wrongs and lead a productive life

Luckily, we have taught my son well and he has watched several other players make mistakes. I'm hoping that by showing him what not to do, he will not follow in their footsteps when he becomes an adult. Chris Henry was another that had made an impact in his life and he still remembers the "trick" that Chris had taught him at a camp before his untimely death. Luckily, he is a child that lets the bad go and remembers the good things in life.

That's a good quality to have, and let's hope he continues that throughout his young life ;)

Pick6))). Busick was raised in Weirton,West Virginia across teh Veterans Memorial Bridge linking Steunebville with Weirton. For years Steubenville has been getting top athletes from West Virginia. Most parents will buy any property in Steubenville and claim residency so their kids can attend Steubenville. Busick's father was a cop in Weirton and a member of professional wrestling. Its an ongoing joke here in the Upper ohio Valley of Big Red " recruiting " and kids like Busick are common. Steubenville is an ultra violent dying town dominated by street gangs and corrupt politics. Go to citydata dot com and read the demographics and comments. Weirtonians believe Busick became part of the thug mentality culture in Steubenville but his psychy may be much deeper and planted prior to his transfer to Big Red. Many former athletes are at rest at Union Cementary which borders Harding Stadium and were victims of violent deaths.
