Michigan vs. Florida - Capital One Bowl 2008

Terry_TateCurrently on Big Ten Network. Great game to watch, figured some people would want to see it.
Manningham was a fun player to watch. -
dwccrewAs badly as Mike Hart tried to throw that game, scUM was still able to get the win after really dominating the game.

Very crazy game for him. He goes almost 4 years without a fumble and has 2 in that game. -
vball10setthat was the one, and only, time I pulled for tsun...the Heisman jinx strikes again

Seems funny how this one always gets lost in the SEC v Big Ten battle too. -

What also gets lost is that Michigan had top 5 talent that year. An NFL QB, #1 overall pick, and a RB who has a roster spot in the NFL. They were a complete and utter joke that year, but talent wise it shouldn't be a surprise they beat Florida. -

Watching the game now, it's pretty crazy the talent on the field that day, and it wasn't even a BCS game. Both QBs were NFL starters at some point last year, Percy Harvin and Mario Manningham are both good young WRs in the NFL, Aaron Hernandez was a really good rookie TE last year, Jake Long and Maurkice Pouncey have both been very good offensive linemen, Andre Caldwell has been pretty good with limited playing time, Mike Hart is on a roster, Adrian Arrington has been competing for a spot on a roster, Joe Haden was just a top 10 draft pick and Carlos Dunlap had the second most sacks for all rookies last year, and a guy by the name of Cam Newton was on the sidelines for Florida. I'm sure I'm missing some others too. -

Never was a bigger Michigan fan in my life. -

...and Oregon, Wisky and THE OSU too...it was a great way to send Lloyd off -
Ty WebbThis a fun(and frusturating) game to watch
Florida had so many chances to win,but were pretty inexperienced. Had this been the '08 team,Florida wins by 2 TDs
I said before the game Michigan should have won by 10 points and it should have been worse -

also barely escaped Nate Davis and Ball State, a year before they were good, if I recall. -

No, we lost to those 4 and struggled a little against Eastern... only beat them by 11. I honestly can't remember the last time we played Ball State. -

That's right, I was looking and didn't see it in the first 3-4 weeks, so disregarded it. I forgot we played them later in the season. Now that you mention it, I remember every other game that day focused on it almost as much as they did the game they were covering. -

Well, this just isn't true at all, considering four SEC teams held Florida to less points during the season. He threw 3 TDs (no INTs) and had a rushing TD, so his personal scoring was just about par for his record-setting season. Didn't end well with the incompletions, but he didn't play a bad game. Third-down conversions was the biggest difference, but 35 points would've won every other game that year (except one).
The game really summed up how pitiful the Gators defense was by making Chad Henne look like a 1st Round draft pick (he should thank them for that). It sucked, but they did a little better the next year. -

You do realize that in Tim Tebow's 3 years as a starter, 07-09, these were the defenses he faced and their final rank among total team defense:
2007
Auburn #7
LSU #20
Michigan #24
Alabama #30
Vanderbilt #34
South Carolina #39
Arkansas #50
2008
Alabama #6
Tennessee #11
Ole Miss #14
Auburn #15
Vanderbilt #25
South Carolina #28
Florida State #33
Kentucky #40
2009
Alabama #1
LSU #12
Ole Miss #17
Tennessee #28
Vanderbilt #37
But don't let facts get in the way of your idiotic post.... -

Safe to say your dumbass didn't even watch the game. Tebow and the UF's offense was fine. Michigan's D didn't win them the game. -

Stick to cross country, you clearly don't know anything about football. also, wasn't Tebow's hand broke or injured in some way in this game? Tebow and the offense put the points up, it's the defense that sucked for Florida that day.

Not sure if it is an insult for you or for Sleeper. It's obvious he's trolling, you actually believe what you say. -
WriterbuckeyeOne of the few times in my life I actually rooted for Blue.
Then I took a really, really, really long hot shower after it was over. -
Trueblue23Tim Tebow, aka GOD, 0-1 vs Michigan.
Suck on that SEC dick riders haha
