World Wide Wes isn't a booster either. Yet people swear he is hand-feeding John Calipari recruits even though there hasn't been any consistent link/proof of it.
Perception kills amongst fans and media though. People take certain facts and run with them. Next we will hear that Sam Bradford was over at his house for dinner, texting him non-stop, buying him new shoes, etc...
WWW isnt a booster, but he is directly associated with agencys. -

gotcha'
Actually, my point was more generic in nature--what I was saying is that IF the NCAA wanted to find something, in almost every instance they could, regardless of the school. -

Yes, and AAU/high school coaches are directly tied to shoe companies. Should they not be allowed to be around recruits? WWW is also friends with and associates with a laundry list of who's who in the sport. This includes almost every coach you would put on a list "the best in the game." Former players are also associated with NBA teams (because they are employed by them), shoe companies (because they have contracts with them) and agents (because they all have them). Should they be banned from any interaction with their former school's basketball program?
I know you're pretty level-headed Laley, it's just ridiculous when everything is a conspiracy. The bottom line is most of this stuff can't be controlled and it has become petty when the NCAA steps in and investigates one thing and not another situation going on somewhere else. They go in and punish one school/individual, and there are 5 similar cases that go seemingly unnoticed somewhere else. -
Laley23Az, I agree with you. Im just saying why the public perception is what it is. The agency thing and his being spotted in public with Cal all the time is the issue.
As for the NCAA, yeah they blow. Ive been saying they are inconsistent about everything since I learned what they are. I still cant believe the crackdown Indiana got for a guy making phone calls lol. I know it was a repeat offender, but he was a repeat offender of phone calls lol. -
MulvaGunner Kiel is a great football name. He'll end up being a stud.

Did you hear that on Ty Webb's radio?karen lotz;917648 wrote:Rumors floating about a decommit. -
karen lotzGibby's magical radio doesn't exist. Sorry to be the one to break this to you.

Tobias FünkeThe more I think about him being Irish, the more I like it. Notre Dame needs a fucking quarterback. It's a damn shame that we might have to wait until 2014 to see Golson start. Holy hell.

Guess Indiana doesn't have a magic recruiter now either.karen lotz;917699 wrote:Gibby's magical radio doesn't exist. Sorry to be the one to break this to you. -

I'm hearing you are correct. Also Indiana fucking sucks. Losing to Ball State and North Texas can't help their cause with holding onto Kiel. -
Laley23I wouldnt blame him. They are so bad lol. Its so pathetic. He could still be THE SAVIOR, so to speak. But who cares when its Indiana?
I really hope he stays, but we shall see. -
karen lotzOfficially decommited from Indiana and will take an unofficial visit to Notre Dame tomorrow.

Honestly, if he leaves my Alma Mater, I hope its for my favorite team lol.karen lotz;940650 wrote:Officially decommited from Indiana and will take an unofficial visit to Notre Dame tomorrow. -
WebFireWell crap. Gunner Kiel at Indiana is a lot less scary than Gunner Kiel at Notre Dame.
-
karen lotzShould be interesting. I think he said before that he doesn't want to be a part of a 2 QB recruiting class which would eliminate Oklahoma, Missouri, and I think Alabama. ND only has about 6 spots left in their class and are in good shape with a lot of elite recruits.

imex99Sucks.... Was hoping the best for Indiana.

TiernanThis is a very unfortunate turn of events. This kid could be as good as Ron Powlus according to Beano Cook.

Yes. I actually think it will be ND or IU. Something drew him to Indiana in the first place, and a terrible year wouldnt have changed that imo, cause they are always bad lol. I think if he leaves them, it will be for ND.SportsAndLady;940720 wrote:Wanted him to go to Indiana...is there still a chance he stays with IU?
