I voted, but who really cares? I don't need SportsNation to tell me that Script Ohio is the best tradition in the country.
  • thePITman
It's down to an 8% difference. Keep voting!

Im certainly not an OSU fan...but I was shocked to see OSU losing this one. I voted for the Buckeyes, and most likely will vote for them if they keep going. Most of those things are not very interesting at all.

    I like:

    UM banner
OSU Script Ohio (first performed by the UM band)
ND Play like a champion today
    FSU Seminole spear throw

I could live with either of the first 2 winning and the next 2 in the finals but losing would be fine with me.

Im surprised the Wisconsin "Jump around" isnt on there...that is insane! Could easily be a winner.

It's down to 4%... Keep voting!

Michigan didn't perform Script Ohio as it is known today. They walked on the field in a stagnant Ohio. The Incomparable was first done by TBDBITL

But who knows if they would even have that tradition if it weren't for UM?

I did a research project in college about the OSU/Michigan rivalry. If what I found was correct, Ohio State was planning on debuting Script Ohio vs Michigan. The Wolverines caught wind of it, so they conjured up their own version of Script Ohio and performed it before we had the chance. So it wasn't Michigan's creation, but they did perform it first.

That can't be right. Michigan performed it 4 years before OSU ever did.

I'm surprised sportsnation was dumb enough to call Nebraska's 'The Horseshoe'. Theirs is called the 'tunnel walk' and involves filming their walk from the locker room, down the hall, through the fans, and yes even touching the horseshoe while broadcast in real-time on their huge jumbo-tron. It's actually pretty neat to see, but they make it out to be just touching a horseshoe on the way out.

Wow. I just checked back in for the first time in a few days, and it's down to 2%! Keep voting!

    even now

Now we're down by 6% again. Looks like it's over. And somehow, 74% of the votes came from outside the US. Something smells fishy if you ask me.

Looking at the comments it sounds like most of the people who voted for Nebraska really just voted against Ohio State.

It also looks like it is other Big Ten states that sunk us. I can understand Iowa voting for Nebraska because there are probably a lot of Nebraska fans there. I can also understand Minnesota. I don't understand Wisconsin, Illinois, and Michigan voting for Nebraska.

I will say this, I went on youtube and watched the actual full "tunnel walk" done at Nebraska...it gave me chills and was ridiculously awesome. I think it would be as cool as can be to see it in person. With that being said, I still think that there are more people around the country that could tell you what script Ohio is than people who could tell you what the tunnel walk is. It may not be as "cool" to most people, but it is a bigger and longer standing tradition.

Yeah. Look at the Colorado vs. Michigan poll. Most of the people in Ohio have voted for Michigan. Even though we hate each other we still respect each other, and Ohio State fans hate Michigan a lot more than Michigan fans hate Ohio State. Besides, there are still plenty of Michigan State fans in Michigan who have no reason to vote against OSU.
