IMO, running ability is the easiest attribute to see in a young player. For instance, you could tell after just a few carries that Lydell Ross and Mo Wells weren't going to be productive running backs, as they were better suited for a dance studio. On the flip side, you knew from the first few carries that Beanie was going to be very successful. You can also tell that Hall, Smith, and Berry will be very good runningbacks, even though they have limited carries. Miller showed me in the spring game, against the likes of Williams and Simon, that he has alot of elusiveness and escapability.

Lydell went off when he first started getting carries.

Pryor would swat a safety to the side like a nat with his stiff arm. He did it to LB's. Yes, Miller could also beat a safety by his quickness, a quick move here or there. But you are talking about a 6'6", 250lb player...against a smaller safety..that is no match. Miller is 6'2", 205. Thats a BOLD statement above. I'd take Pryor easily in that matchup. Safety has better chance to bring Miller down than Pryor. And I don't think its that close.
And as mentioned above, Pryor has proven it at this level. Miller hasn't done squat yet. I'll take the proven over the unproven.

I agree, no question. Pryor was big and fast, but not elusive. He was much too stiff when he ran, and he often avoided contact (which, he probably should).

Although Miller has yet to take a snap, one can tell by watching his high school videos that he is very quick and elusive. He was also playing against D1 competition in the talent-rich state of Ohio. I feel confident that those abilities will translate to the next level.
