Can Ohio State win the 2011 National Championship IF ...

BigAppleBuckeyeLet's assume that OSU will receive a postseason ban for this upcoming season. We all have our opinions regarding how well this team will do, but for the sake of this scenario, let's assume OSU goes through the regular season undefeated, and all other teams -- including the winner of the BCS title game -- have at least one loss. Does the AP give a piece of the title to the Buckeyes? Wow would that really piss off America haha

The biggest impact would be the sudden acknowledgement of USC's 2003 AP title by Buckeye fans. -

An AP title? I don't think any Buckeye fan claims that crap in the BCS era. -

You would in the OP's scenario. And I know you'd have some mildly amusing statement on why it is different and deserved and the Buckeyes were cheated (or the BCS title wouldn't really count). More and legitimately amusing would be how you'd somehow sneak in a reference to the irrelevance of Notre Dame over the last 20 some years. -
OneBuckeyeThey won't get a bowl ban so if they deserve to be there they will.

If OSU won the AP title without the BCS title, I would not count it.
