  The story I have heard about 5th hand through 2 prominant media members in Columbus is that he was asked to cool it with the way he talks to callers and the way he expresses his opinion as if he were the only one that mattered, he said "no way" they said "lets part ways" he said "yep"

  I agree with him then to leave, Ricordati and Torgy literally will tell callers they are idiots when they don't agree with them. I listened to Hooley everyday and he was never as disrespectful. He was bland but not like that.
  
  All it took was the 2 prominent media guys not liking you and then taking that dislike for you and making up shit. Sounds like 14 year olds bickering when you say stuff like that about somesone. Co-workers do it all the time to try to create drama.. there's a number of reasons, but that doesn't always make it true.

  He was condescending and arrogant towards callers, coaches etc. He's been that way since he started and the listener base has wanted him out because of that since he started

  What the fuck are you even talking about? They weren't co-workers nor were they even in radio, I said "fifth hand", meaning they had heard the situation from others in the local media.

  Common Man and Torg had said he needed fired before. They didn't have the ongoing listener base hate that Hooley had. Problem is, when you are in the entertainment media like the talk shows on 610 are, your listener base matters.

  This. If you saw what he posted on the O-Zone (both he and his mentally deranged wife) after he was canned...and again after JT was fired, you'd not think highly of him.
  
  I kid you not, when JT was fired, he came onto the board and posted: LALALALALALALALALALALALALALA and then made some snide comment about those on the board who had supported JT. It was extremely childish and obnoxious; not unlike his radio program from what I understand.

  It was always my understanding that Hooley wasn't fired they just didn't renew his contract. Correct me if I'm wrong
