08:10 AM ET 05.29 | An assortment of pressing questions arise in the wake of Saturday's news that Nebraska backup quarterback Cody Green has asked for a release from his scholarship and is exploring transfer options. Nebraska is down to two scholarship quarterbacks -- projected starter Martinez, a third-year sophomore, and Carnes, a redshirt freshman. Sophomore Ron Kellogg III, a walk-on, appears to be a capable No. 3 man. -
Rebel_ I.N.S.I wish Cody nothing but the best.

the_systemNebraska still has 4-star freshman Jamal Turner who was recruited as a QB. He's such a good athlete that he played some WR in spring, but I can't see why he wouldn't be moved to QB if needed.
Martinez, Starling (if he doesn't go to MLB), Carnes, Turner, Kellogg III. Hell even RB Rex Burkhead played QB in HS and the Nebraska offense did great when they ran the wildcat with him. -
karen lotzI thought I saw something where Bubba had slid down to around 10th in a mock draft. Could it be because his signability is not good and he is still considering going the football route?

Not sure. Bubba and his parents have always said he was going to Nebraska to play QB and baseball. It would be hard to pass up a huge contract though.karen lotz;785583 wrote:I thought I saw something where Bubba had slid down to around 10th in a mock draft. karen lotzYeah I think it'd be tough to turn down a couple million dollar signing bonus if he were to be offered.
