Desmond Howard is a punk. He's chewing me out via Twitter
-
Trueblue23Can't stand this guy anymore.
@desmond_howard Desmond Howard
I have a brother that served 25+ in USAF and in honor of Memorial Day, I think Tressel should have waited another 24hrs.
@desmond_howard if you need a holiday to respect our veterans, there's something wrong with you.
@desmond_howard Desmond Howard
@Gr8WHThype23 we might not NEED it, but we HAVE it, so RESPECT it! If you can't do that then there's something wrong with you! -
GOONx19It looks to me like he stated his opinion and you attacked his character.
-
Trueblue23I just think he's retarded. He says a lot of dumb things.
-
skankIt took THIS, for you to think he's a punk?

using retarded when you are worried about respecting people is classyTrueblue23;785315 wrote:I just think he's retarded. He says a lot of dumb things. -
vball10setAre you seriously bitching about the fact that JT's resigned on Memorial Day, or am I reading this wrong? I apologize up front if I am.
-
jordo212000You are aware that it probably wasnt Tressel's decision to resign today, right?
-
Midstate01Technically he resigned last night...

I think it was the other way around?
I've noticed a lot of people saying not to talk about this or that because its Memorial Day and apparently your entire focus for the day should be on veterans. Guess you shouldn't talk about what you want on the grill or who has winners in cornhole either.
Whatever, the response to the original tweet was still stupid. Obviously the guy talking about his brother in the military doesn't need a holiday to respect veterans. Whether you agree with his trying to tell other people to demonstrate that respect or not, the response was completely misguided. Now, if he didn't mean "you", as in the original tweeter(?) and was making a general statement that people should be more respectful to the military outside of this day, he chose his words poorly. (And again, that is whether you support that statement or not.) -
GoChiefsEh..I tend to agree with him.

GoChiefsHoward.

DeyDurkie5this is dumb

BigAppleBuckeyeBlame Sports Illustrated for posting their story tonight. If they wait a day, so does Ohio State. Because they are dropping the bomb tonight, the Tressel "resignation" had to go down today.

sleeperCool, you are now famous.

I know you love trying to argue with me about anything you can, but WTF are you talking about? I have no problem with when the announcement was made. -

This. Desmond made it sound like a big deal. -
georgemc80Anyone that has worked in Public Relations understands that these type of releases are done late Friday afternoon or even better on a holiday.....
-
Scarlet_BuckeyeHe's exactly right... if you NEED a holiday to RESPECT our veterans, than there's something wrong with you.

But he didn't say he needed a holiday. It is a set aside day to pay respects. Doesn't mean it can't be done other days as well.
