Remember how badly we wanted Pryor to come to OSU?

I'm not upset at all. His time was coming, he broke rule 10.1 and no one who breaks that deserves to have a job. I'm simply trying to point out facts to trolls like you trying to take hits at someone using information that simply isn't true.
Nice try trolling though.
Oh, and a wordpress Michigan blog isn't exactly the legitimate source you should using to try and argue with me. -

Why does anyone care about the national perception? I guess I could understand the managing perception that the alumni and potential recruits might have but why would there be a concern with what other programs, their fans and the media think?lhslep134;785118 wrote:.... But if you don't care about our national perception, then he's absolutely the #1 target.

College football is a business. If your company just got rid of a lying CEO, would you want to hire someone who has questionable at best morals? I personally don't care, but at some point you can't just say "fuck it" in regards to your reputation. -

Thanks for being honest. I think the rest of your response was based on creating a reputation so that from a business perspective you might look more favorable to potential future employees and potential future clients?lhslep134;785284 wrote:...I personally don't care,....
Did I get that close?
My point it that worrying about others' views is not where the focus should be. Worry about what you think is right for your institution and over an extended period of time the right image and "reputation" will emerge.
If the President and AD feel that Urban Meyer is right for Ohio State they should hire him, no matter what others think. If he's not right for them based on his historical past actions, they shouldn't hire him, no matter what others think. -

I wasn't arguing anything when I posted that. That's how hard you are trying. -

Don't be so sure. For one it's a hell of a lot easier to recruit in Ohio than Nebraska. Another factor to look at is that money talks, especially when it comes from your ALMA MATER in which you were a CAPTAIN on the team. Add in the fact that inter-conference coaching changes have happened before (O'Brien from BC to NC State, to a lesser degree Saban from LSU to Bama as well as Spurrier from Florida to SC despite that they both had stops in the NFL first.) and it's not an impossible situation. -
Big GainYou remind me, I made the same call on LeBron when he was in high school.

I got news for you, the vast majority of CEOs are less than honest at times and they rarely get fired because it.lhslep134;785284 wrote:College football is a business. Did YSU forfeit games or National Titles? Did Tressel get fined while at YSU? Did YSU lose scholarships when Tressel was there?centralbucksfan;785223 wrote:Where do you draw the line in the sand at? Thats the million dollar question. As for Saint Tressel...if you followed him at Youngstown St, he came to OSU with skeletons in his closet with his association with Micky Monus. -
