  Notice how Suh has by far the most 1st place votes(knowledgeable voters) yet has a very slim lead due to a lot of idiots leaving him off their ballot entirely. This is why the Heisman sucks.

  Did you just tune-in to the season this week? Suh won the fan poll on espn.com that has been going for weeks now. He has been getting articles and video segments on him, all claiming he should be getting heisman consideration, since very early in the season. He didn't just come out of nowhere this week with a big performance. He has been destroying teams all season long.

  Ingram's performance this past weekend probably gained him votes as Tebow and McCoy had poor performances. What's sad is some of the voters won't remember the previous weekend when Ingram had a poor game and McCoy had great numbers against A&M.

  This is such a joke. Suh with a clear lead in 1st place votes, but a bunch of 80 year olds can't spell his name so they left him off their ballots and it will cost him the trophy.
  
  And who the hell is voting for Tebow? Those people should have their votes taken away from them in future years, because they clearly couldn't be bothered to do a 5 minute comparison before casting their ballots.

  Here's a question. Why the hell was Tebow even invited to NYC? He's so far behind the other candidates that there's no chance he wins it.

  As a former winner he'd be there anyway, regardless of his percentage. As far as an official invite though I'm not sure.

  Sometimes they only invite 3 or 4 guys and it depends on how many votes each candidate received. I remember them mentioning some type of percentage in the past, but I'm not sure what it was, if it's set in stone, or if it varies from year to year.
  
  Obviously Tebow will be there as a past winner, but I don't really think he should be one of the finalists for the award. If the projections by Stiff Arm Trophy are even remotely close, he's nowhere near the other candidates. I really hope this isn't a case of, "Tebow will be here anyway, so we might as well make him a finalist and include him in the show". I'm not really too worried about it, but it just seems a little odd to me.

  On the ESPN newcast I watched this evening they were hyping on Tebow again. I guess maybe the crying Saturday might buy him a few extra votes

  This is with 208 ballots being turned in. It's starting to look like unless something unexpected happens that Ingram will win on Saturday.
  
  On a side note, Tebow did win the Academic Heisman this year.

  I will not be one bit surprised if Teblow worms his way back into the trophy somehow. This guy has an uncanny ability to cloud people's minds into believing he is everything except what he really is. And that is he is the greatest 3 yd TD runner in history.

  The trophy has been a colossal joke since 1997, which is about the time that ESPN decided that they wanted to see if they could influence the trophy going to someone who wasn't the best player in that year and wouldn't be able to compare to someone who happened to be a contemporary.

  Not only that, but if you look at some of the ballots that were placed, quite a few only used one vote! You're supposed to vote 1,2 and 3.

  Not sure really. I think they normally only invite 4 players. This year it was 5, with TT obviously getting a sympathy invite as the 5th wheel.
  
  I just think the media loves him. It's all they talk about. As much as they love him though his stats were in no way going to get him the heisman - even though they really, REALLY wanted to give it to him. So out of sympathy they give him a front row seat.
