Sorry, two of those games were before the BCS started, so they don't count.

Ok? Even under your "logic" the score remains 1-0 Buckeyes.

    I'm an exception? OK.

As was previously stated.....I don't think you'll find any ND fans on here (okay, maybe one person) who will try to say that ND has been better than OSU recently. They haven't. I would be very happy if ND had OSU's recent on-field success.

You're jumping on that bandwagon too?

I'm one of the few Ohio State fans who actually likes Notre Dame as well (Honestly can't understand the venom, they've played each other 5 times!). I definitely think that Notre Dame is finally back on the right track with Brian Kelly as coach, and I was pulling hard for ND to be the new member of the Big 10 if for no other reason to see them and OSU play more often.

Did you miss the "maybe"? Did I say a name?

I think I'm in the minority (ND fans) in regards to ND joining the Big 10. I wanted them to join. Just makes sense IMO.

Thanks for posting. Those were fun to revisit.

Side note: Troy Smith was an absolute stud. Don't understand those that think Pryor is a better QB.

I have very little opposition to them joining the Big Ten. It just comes down to what OOC rivalries would be kept. Navy and USC for sure. But that leaves like two different opponents each year.

Totally agree, TS could run AND throw. I will say though that he may have done more damage to the OSU football team than Pryor though. Most people point to the 06 title game and what may or may not have happened with Gonzo's girlfriend. Troy did play pretty terribly in that game and most believe it was due to his "heisman banquet tour" that helped him gain some weight. I will say though in his defense that his best receiver was injured after one play (a play he scored a TD on) and completely changed OSU's offensive gameplan, along with Troy having to run for his life the whole game.

What I'm talking about was his taking of money from a booster that led to his 2 game suspension. If you remember correctly, Troy had just come off a breakthrough performance against Michigan where he asserted himself as clearly the best QB on the team and an up and comer on the national scene. It is my honest belief that had Troy been smart, he has another big performance in the Alamo Bowl which gives OSU momentum in the offseason and cements Troy as the starter going into the season. After a nice tuneup against Miami, Troy is the only quarterback taking snaps against Texas and perhaps that outcome turns out in the Buckeyes' favor. Ohio State would've then had their offense rolling a little earlier and might not have lost to Penn State either causing them to face USC in the title game and perhaps win it all. Speculation of course, but certainly plausible that Troy Smith cost Ohio State 2 National Championships.

Not sure why it's gotta be like that. But you can take issue with it if you want.

I totally agree actually. I think our team had more talent in 2005 than 2006.
  • Tobias Fünke
I would agree with that Y-Town. I think the 2005 team, at the end of the season, was one of the best teams in all of modern college football. Certainly it was Tressel's best team.

Clarrett, Smith, and Pryor. Three of Tressel's best players, three separate NCAA investigations.

Tough to put them over the 2002 team but they had an incredible amount of talent on both sides of the ball. As for the three guys you mentioned, it's unfortunate that their poor decision making prevented them from reaching their full potentials.

Ohio State is clearly better because the players there have more tattoos and tattoos make you a better player. Even though everyone kills people.

Okay, so when you're quoting my posts and replying to them with things like,"You're jumping on that bandwagon too?" and "What ever"....You're not exactly leaving a whole lot to the imagination. Obviously you're pissed because you thought I was talking about you even though I didn't even say a name and I also threw "maybe" in there.

Is there some other reason you quoted me and replied to my statements?

So are you guys going to zip up soon or is this pissing contest going to continue?
