Did UC players get a ring for losing by 50 to Florida in a BCS game?
Because God knows if they did, UC players of all players would sell the shit out of them. -

95% of programs have these issues..it's just something you have to deal with and move on.
95% of the top programs dont have players failing multiple drug tests. Sorry!! The number might be high but it isnt close to 95%. -

It was a 27 point loss... which happens to be the same Margin that OSU lost to Florida by. But I see what you were trying to do there.SportsAndLady;756026 wrote:Did UC players get a ring for losing by 50 to Florida in a BCS game?

Not failing multiple drug tests, but they do have players suspended for breaking some type of rule/law. It happens everywhere, sans maybe the military academies -

So they didn't get a ring for that? -
goosebumpsYou should be aware that every team that goes to a bowl game gets a ring.

I'm sure UC players have sold those rings. -

When you can show me one for sale from a player, I'll say you're right... also has to be a player who's still in school. Not against the rules to sell them when you graduate.SportsAndLady;756048 wrote:I'm sure UC players have sold those rings. -
thedynasty1998I doubt this is something as simple as marijuana. Maybe steroids. Maybe something more serious. But I can't help but find it ironic that Tressel would suspend anyone at this point.

Uh oh here comes dynasty with his crazy assumptions -

Right. Because JT has never sat anyone down for a season or even kicked them off the team. Oh and if he failed three drug tests, I can easily see this being the reason. -

You find a UC player who sold his ring yet or have you given up on that battle? -
september63karen lotz;756130 wrote:You find a UC player who sold his ring yet or have you given up on that battle?
There has to be an interest from someone to buy a ring before anyone can sell a ring. Just sayin. -
Little DannyGiven the state of affairs right now, any player for the Buckeyes is going to punished severely this year (as compared to prior years). If you smoke some herb, skip a class, get into a scuffle with some punks on campus, you will likely be made an example of. That's what happens everywhere when you have the spotlight cast upon you more than usual.

Haha I know that. -
TiernanI seldom ever get on this piss ant of a sports site anymore but when I heard Bell had been suspended I had to see which Domer or Skunkweasel turd would rush to be the first A-hole to post the news...ding ding ding the winner is the biggest Dome polisher of the all... Lotzy!

I started this thread? I wasn't even the first Notre Dame fan to post on the thread you dipshit. Crawl back under your rock. -

I'm not saying it isn't deserved. I'm sure it is. But most would consider Tressel's self imposed punishment light, so I find it ironic.
Mike Adams failed at least 2 drug tests and missed a game for each. That's why I think it would be more severe. -

I was the first ND fan to post on here. I asked a question and that was the end of it. -

I know. Just pointing out to Tiernan that it was a fellow Bucknut who posted the news about the suspension, not some Domer who posted it because it was another negative OSU related thing. -

Writerbuckeye;755846 wrote: Sorry, but I find this argument laughable. These are guys who are being recruited by just about every major program -- and more importantly, many of them had NO red flags prior to having their problems at OSU.
Are you really not going to recruit a high school all American because he may be a bit self-centered or immature? Aren't almost all these guys that way when they get out of high school?
Honestly, how do you KNOW which of these guys are going to go on to do "stupid" rather than focus on football?
You don't.
These kinds of situations happen in life and a football team is nothing more than a group of people who represent all aspects of society.
This is dumb. Most guys start being recruited late in their sophomore year or in their junior year. The coaches build a personal relationship with them, that is what gets you a commitment. If you can't judge character after talking with high school coaches, teachers, parents, and the athlete himself, then you're a bad coach.
Being recruited by every major program is somewhat irrelevant. I understand the "rather be playing with them than against them," and that is in my opinion the position most Ohio State fans have taken lately, but it's just wrong. Let Texas and Oklahoma be the schools with 39% graduation rates because they are filled to the brim with thugs. Ohio State deserves players with more character.
Also, I'm 100% for the legalization of marijuana, and am only saddened by the fact that he's done this three times now. Florida (SEC) just kicked their best player off the team for it, yet we don't?
I also don't think it'd be as big of an issue if Tressel were to just make an example of one of them from time to time. Sure, you recruit thugs, but just kick one off the team from time to time. Tressel is a very smart man, he knows who is doing shit. I don't think it's that hard to not get busted for weed three times, especially considering all of the other things---errr, women (but they are regarded as things by the players), you can do for fun. -
