gorocks99Has Mallett declared for the draft?

I don't believe he has... yet. I don't see why he wouldn't though. There's nothing to accomplish in an Arkansas offense that is going to make him seem worse next year as it gets worse.gorocks99 wrote: Has Mallett declared for the draft? -
ytownfootballBoth his father and Mallett himself have both said he'll likely stay for his senior season citing maturity as the reason, whether that happens or not remains to be seen but that's what was announced during the bowl game.

jhay78I think Bama controls the ball, the clock, and eventually the scoreboard: 34-24.
I'd like to see Texas make it a game. Don't diss them because of the Nebraska game. All those clowns saying TCU's defense is better than Nebraska's are unreal. -
gorocks99Nebraska's defense is GREAT but I think Alabama's isn't too far behind. And the Tide's offense is about 20 times better than Nebraska's. That's what scares me if I'm a Texas fan in this one.

That's a good possibility. I just wouldn't be surprised. There's not much that he needs to really prove, and he's not going to be in a running for a NC or even SEC Championship, so I don't see any reason to come back. However, I could understand the maturity thing.ytownfootball wrote: Both his father and Mallett himself have both said he'll likely stay for his senior season citing maturity as the reason, whether that happens or not remains to be seen but that's what was announced during the bowl game. -

Nebraska's defense isn't as good as Bama's. Not even close, IMO.gorocks99 wrote: Nebraska's defense is GREAT but I think Alabama's isn't too far behind. And the Tide's offense is about 20 times better than Nebraska's. That's what scares me if I'm a Texas fan in this one.
Nebraska doesn't have McClain, Arenas, Barron, Cody, Woodall, Jackson, Deaderick, etc.
They've got 3, maybe 4 potential 1st rounders on their defense. -
gorocks99If you look strictly at the numbers, they're pretty close. Bama allowed 16 TDs, Nebraska allowed 16 TDs. Nebraska held VT to 16 points in Blacksburg, Bama held VT to 24 points in Atlanta. Nebraska is #1 in pass efficiency defense, Bama is #2. Nebraska is #1 in points allowed per game, Bama is #2. Pretty close.

I'll give you the numbers, but I always hate just using statistics.gorocks99 wrote: If you look strictly at the numbers, they're pretty close. Bama allowed 16 TDs, Nebraska allowed 16 TDs. I'm talking about matchups.
If you lined up the Nebraska defense with the Bama defense, it's clear that Nebraska doesn't have the play makers defensively like Bama. I'll also give the edge to Bama due to the conference, while the SEC wasn't a huge offensive conference, they're still one of the fastest, most talented conferences in the entire FBS.
Not knocking Nebraska's defense, because I like them a lot, but Bama's defense is on another level. -
cats gone wildNice article about Texas. Its nice to see good stories about players instead of guns, drugs, fights, etc.

cbus4lifeLove Mack Brown. Can't stand Saban.
I'll be cheering for Texas. I became a fan after being around and talking with Texas fans when they played OSU. Classy bunch. -
Little DannyThis picture tells me I have to go with Alabama.

gorocks99Who knew cousin sex could produce such beautiful results.

Hb31187what time is kickoff
-
jordo212000What time is the kickoff?
I'd love to root for Texas, however, Colt McCoy won't allow me to. I think I might be the only person in the America who can't stand Colt McCoy. I hate everytime ESPN does a piece on him. They eat him up but he has to be one of the least interesting people in the world. To make matters worse, ESPN did a bromance piece on McCoy and Sam Bradford before the Red River Shootout. There was all sorts of homoeroticism going on -
ytownfootballGeeze, it pales in comparison to Tebow...I mean PALES
-
NonI think Alabama is better but Texas seems to have the luck factor this year.
I don't think McCoy loses. -

At one time I did too. But after he cried when they lost in the SEC championship game and he cried right there for all of the cameras, I put him back down to where McCoy sits on my "likability scale"allstar wrote: I can't stand McCoy either. I like Tebow more than him... -
burt07Final prediction: Texas 30-24.
