If Texas loses...

I think we can rule out Florida-Alabama rematch.

    Who plays Alabama?

While I think TCU has played extremely well this year, I think Cincinnati, being from a BCS conference, should get the bid.

Obviously this game is far from over (and I know a few things about talking before stuff is over  ), but what do you guys think:

    TCU or Cinci?

    TCU.

It would be Cincinnati. Enough voters will bump an undefeated champion from a BCS conference over TCU, and Cincinnati will probably gain some extra ground in the computers beating a 9-2 Pitt. I'm thinking the top 5 would be:

    1. Alabama
    2. Cincinnati
    3. Florida
    4. TCU
    5. Texas

Boise St, while playing the weaker schedule......had the best win of the bunch beating #7 Oregon

    TCU.

    My personal opinion: TCU
    What would actually happen: Cincinnati

To bad TCU couldnt be in the Big12.

While I think Texas will get it going like they seem to do in the 2nd half of every game they play, this is a major problem in college football. All three teams in TCU, BSU and Cincy all have a legitamite argument on why they should be the team to play in the title, how do you tell one they are worthy but the other two are not.

I used to think the same thing. I'm leaning toward TCU maintaining enough votes to stay ahead of Cincy now. I really don't think the BCS folks would mind TCU being there because it offers some proof that the system is sound and rewards the right teams - they can use the fact that a non-AQ actually made the title game over a big six team as support that there is nothing unfair about the process. Cincy is expendable in that case, despite their conference affiliation, because they aren't a cash cow anyway.

Boise doesn't belong in the conversation at all. Cincy has the conference affiliation and TCU has multiple impressive wins. Boise has neither and is easy to exclude.

I think Boise is the weakest of those 3 teams but they did beat Oregon

    My guess is TCU
