How is your team looking for next year?
-
SportsAndLadyWe have a good amount of fans of different teams on here..lets see whose gonna be good or bad next year.
Kansas will lose both the Morris twins...Selby and Taylor will be back, I am going to assume. There is going to be a lot of guys you haven't heard of play, but they'll be pretty good...I think Texas will actually win the Big 12 next year, as I think this 7 season conf. winning streak will come to an end next year. Can't wait to see Elijah Johnson play next year with Taylor...he's gonna be a fucking stud. If Thomas Robinson goes pro, and right now I don't think he will but he is projected to be a first round pick, our front court is in trouble. We have this huge white dude named Withey, that is our only other big guy. Pretty poor recruiting class coming in, too. They have a point guard who won't play much next year..hopefully they can land McLemore and Daniels. That'd be huge.
How is everyone else's team lookin? -
sleeperOhio State, Championship or bust.

killer_ewokPretty damn good. Syracuse only loses Rick Jackson (who was a damn good and much improved player) and they have some decent recruits (Rakeem Christmas and Michael Carter-Williams) coming in next season. Disappointing Frosh Center Fab Melo started to show some signs of life late in the season and Dion Waiters and CJ Fair played pretty well during their Freshman seasons. Kris Joseph could/should be All-Big East 1st team next season. Brandon Triche became a reliable scorer and he should be even more confident next season. Southerland is streaky but provides the Orange with another perimeter threat. Moussa-Keita played pretty well this season too and he adds length to the back end of the zone and a shot blocking presence along with Melo. Dashonte Riley could provide some depth down low if healthy. Scoop Jardine is the big question mark IMO. He just makes too many poor decisions at the most inopportune times. THAT is my biggest concern. Regardless, I'm thinking that Syracuse will be a top 3 or 4 team in the Big East next season (when the smoke clears) with Pitt, Cincy and Uconn being pretty near the top as well. I think they'll be preseason top 10 (in the bottom half).

athlete37Notre Dame returns Tim Abromaitis, Carleton Scott and Scott Martin from the starting lineup-- loses BE POY Ben Hansbrough and C Ty Nash. Current Freshmen Eric Atkins will step in at the PG position for BH, and has a lot of experience from this season (lead BE in assist/TO ratio I believe). Jack Cooley will step in at the 5 spot and has also picked up a lot of minutes this year (including an 18 point effort against South Florida). Question marks will be how the Irish replace BH's ability to create and Ty's ability to run the offense as a passing big man. Jerian Grant, Pat Connaughton, and Joey Brooks look to pick up minutes off the bench, and how these guys step up will also determine a lot. I expect us to be preseason 5 or 6 in the BE and probably hovering around 20 in the preseason rankings. If TA, Carleton Scott and Scott Martin play to their abilities this team could be dangerous-- as any one of them could be capable of putting up 20 points on any night. Team could also fall apart like we saw it temporarily do when BH fouled out at UConn.

SportsAndLadyYup, 5 star SG Ben McLemore commits to Kansas today...needed that one. Now lets get Daniels..doubtful though.

devil1197OSU will be deep and I think Sully/Buford return.
Pretty good recruiting class coming in along with young guys like Sibert, Smith, Weatherspoon etc that will get chances to earn the PT. -
SportsAndLadyAmazing that Sullinger is gonna return (if true..still skeptical)...I love seeing that.

I thought he was coming back all year long.
The tournament showed he still needs work on the offensive end with his post moves.
OSU will be adding some height at 6'10, 6'9, 6'8, and 6'7 along with their top recruit Scott at the PG spot. -

Should kyrie return (unlikely) duke will be quite a difficult guard Without him Thornton and cook should split time as cook is more of a scorer thornton a good defender and distributor. -
devil1197You think Irving stays?
I think he'll be sporting a Cavaliers jersey next season. -
swamisezAgree he is gone but I will wait till it's official.

Azubuike24PG - Brandon Knight, SO / Marquis Teague, FR
SG - Doron Lamb, SO / Jon Hood, JR / Stacy Poole, SO
SF - Darius Miller, SR / DeAndre Liggins, SR
PF - Terrence Jones, SO / Michael Gilchrist, FR / Kyle Wiltjer, FR
C - Anthony Davis, FR / C Eloy Vargas, SR
Pending decisions to leave for the NBA by Terrence Jones, Brandon Knight, DeAndre Liggins and Doron Lamb.
If 2 of those 4 stay, I have to believe Kentucky is preseason top 3, if not number 1. -
ironman02PG - Kendall Marshall, SO / Stillman White, FR
SG - Dexter Strickland, JR / Leslie McDonald, JR / PJ Hairston, FR
SF - Harrison Barnes, SO / Reggie Bullock, SO / Justin Watts, SR
PF - John Henson, JR / James McAdoo, FR / Jackson Simmons, FR
C - Tyler Zeller, SR
Barnes, Zeller, and Henson have a decision to make regarding the NBA Draft, but I'm hearing good things at this point. I'd be surprised if they didn't all return.
Carolina adds 5-star recruits James McAdoo and PJ Hairston in this year's class. Jackson Simmons has agreed to walk on at Carolina, and while he's definitely a project, he could provide some added depth inside if absolutely necessary. Stillman White is an interesting situation. He's an in-state guard who was recently offered a scholarship and accepted. He's a decent player who is simply there in an emergency to play PG, but the interesting part is that he will leave to go on a Mormon mission after next season. He'll be a four year player, but his scholarship won't be used during the 2012-2013 and 2013-2014 seasons, which frees it up for someone else if needed during those years.
I've also heard that in-state big man, John Cannon (6'10", 225 lbs.) is considering doing the same thing as Simmons and coming in as a walk-on. Carolina is also still waiting on a decision from Desmond Hubert (6'9", 195 lbs.), who is down to UNC and Maryland. The departures of Larry Drew II and the Wear twins left Carolina thin at PG and in the post, so Roy is throwing out some of the extra schollarship offers (and getting some good players to walk on) in an attempt to add some depth.
If everyone returns, Carolina will be loaded up for a legitimate run at a national title. -
SportsAndLadyNo way Barnes doesn't go pro..some mock drafts have him going with the #1 overall pick

Little DannyUC will have some very strong guard play next year. They return a strong nucleus of players from this year including Cashmere Wright, Dion Dion, Sean Kilpatrick, Justin Jackson, and last but not least, Yancy Gates. UC is expecting big things from incoming Freshman, Shaq Thomas (NJ HS Player of the Year). This Bearcat squad will be a little smaller than this past year's group, I expect they will be playing in some four guard sets at time due to a lack of depth in the front court. That being said, they will very big guards and athletic wing players. These group of guys will have the ability to play the 2,3,4 positions and should be straight nasty.
If Gates plays like he did in the back stretch of this season he will be a load next season. -
sportswizuhrdNext year? Let's worry about tonight first....
But anyways for the Huskies, they will lose 29 points a game but 24 of those go to Kemba Walker. Replacing him is going to be impossible but Jeremy Lamb and Alex Oriakhi should lead the team in at least trying to replace his scoring. I have a feeling one or two players might transfer, even though only one Freshman will be coming in. They might need to make a late push for a post player(HS or JC recruit) and especially Wolf goes back to Germany to play pro ball(again, season isnt over, nothing has been said about anything). All in all they should be ok. Probably make it to the Big Dance. It all depends on what happens tomorrow night and if they win the title, Calhoun could go out on top.

centralbucksfanThe decisions that many make are going to be interesting. Possible NBA lockout is coming and from what you read, its a good possibility. Going to be tough decisions considering the deadline to declare will happen way in advance to a lockout.
-
swamisezAn NBA lockout would be a great thing for College Basketball. A return of the major players would bring the dominance back into the NCAA tournament. There will be no VCU or Butler final four appearances next year if this years freshman crop had to stay.
-
gorocks99Gophers are going to blow donkey, they have no guards and they stunk down the stretch this year. Couple that with losing Iverson and potentially Mbakwe, and it's a recipe for suck.

Big Gain
Why is it amazing?? There are a few intelligent top college players who are no hurry to sell their souls to the NBA.SportsAndLady;731775 wrote:Amazing that Sullinger is gonna return (if true..still skeptical)...I love seeing that.
