Geno Ford is leaving Kent for Bradley!

Azubuike24True. Wouldn't profit have more of an impact on the decision though? If not paying a coach means less lost revenue than a pay raise would cost, it makes sense. I guess that's what all of the powers-to-be in athletic departments have to anticipate.

True, but it will depend on how good of the coach they hire is. I think Geno is a pretty damn good coach and respect him. The potential "saved" revenue by not paying Geno more could be lost by having not as good of a team and therefore putting fewer butts in the seats. -
GameoverMike,
Nice to hear the great comments about Lamont. As much I would love to see him come to Kent, I don't think he would do that to Dambrot. I think Lamont could land a higher D1 school then the MAC even as a first time head coach. He's definitely the upcoming coaches. -
september63I have watched Geno grow up playing at Cambridge. Ive been a fan but not telling his players, or the University, about accepting the Bradley job seems to lack of class. The players and the AD learned Geno took the Bradley job by reading it on the internet.
