Those stats can be very misleading when you look at the conferences teams play in. Yes, UK is in the final four, but the SEC sucks overall. The level of competition, nite in and nite out in terms of UConn and UK isn't comparable.
I honestly don't know who is going to win this game. Its a toss up IMO. I have doubted UConn all year long...but they just keep getting it done. Kemba is an absolutely stud, difference maker. But UConn has also shown they can win without him having a huge game. Uk has played pretty good defense the past couple of games. But I also didn't think UK could beat OSU or UNC. Harrelson has been playing out of his ass...I just don't see that continueing to be honest. Jones hasn't really played well in the NCAA..which makes UK even more of a surprise to be where they are. Liggins play has also made a difference. Even though UK has been winning, they are still living on the edge with last second wins, Jones not playing well and lack of a bench if foul trouble happens. If I had to pick someone now, I'd go with UConn because of Walker being such a difference maker and thinking guys like Harrelson and Liggins are going to come back to earth. -
gerb131Hard not to root for Kentucky be nice to have lost to the eventual champ.

So I guess the Big 10 super sucks sincecentralbucksfan;728314 wrote:Those stats can be very misleading when you look at the conferences teams play in. Yes, UK is in the final four, but the SEC sucks overall.
UK beat OSU who was the #1 overall seed
The big 10 had zero elite 8 teams while the SEC had 2
I think the Big 10 was the conference who was highly overrated this year. UK lost 6 conference games I believe, so the conference must of not of been too shabby. -
Azubuike24The SEC was not worse than the Pac 10 or the ACC. I'd argue it was the 4th best overall conference this year. Based on NCAA results, you could even argue it was top 3, ahead of the Big 12. The Big 12 had more disappointing teams than anyone. Baylor was maybe the nation's biggest disappointment. Missouri really faded the second half of the season. Kansas State was up and down. Outside of Texas A&M overachieving slightly (eventually got bumped in RD1), Kansas and Texas both disappointed in the NCAA Tournament.
So yes, to say the SEC was not the same night in and night out in the Big East, is fair, but not the rest of the country. I can buy it if comparing Kentucky to Connecticut, but not Kentucky to a team in another league. -
Ironman92UK will win and it's very simple why.
IF UConn wins.....I win my pool and win $140
That's it....UK will win. -
cats gone wildThe first time these 2 teams met this year, UK had an absolute horrible day in shooting (36%)while Uconn had a great day in shooting (58%). Harrellson and Knight combined for 6 points. This wont happen this time around. UK by 6.

Of course, that had nothing to do with the UConn defense, did it? lol But wait, the UK defense was the cause of OSU and UNC shooting poorly, right? Ya, ok..I get it. lol -

A bunch of freshmen in their first week of college basketball playing every day or every other with no time to prepare for the opponent. Things change thru out the year dont they? -
stephen3108If UK keeps playing physical like they have the last 2 games they will win. If they let them play it definitely is to Kentucky's advantage. They outmatch UConn physically.

Yes they do..thats why UConn has won 9 straight, including the BE tourney. They are playing very well right now. -
GOONx19And that's why UK has won 10 straight, taking out the #1 team in the country along the way.
-
Ironman92UConn's 9 straight is more impressive than UK's 10 straight including OSU.
None of this will matter.
Best team will win....again, UK screws me of $140....no way will I win it. -
GOONx19
UConn beat #22, #11, #3, #14, #6, and #17 during their stretch. Sums up to 73. Average margin of victory was 6 and those teams combined for 7 wins in the tournament.Ironman92;729399 wrote:UConn's 9 straight is more impressive than UK's 10 straight including OSU.
UK beat #13, #20, #12, #22, #1, and #7. Sums up to 75. Average margin of victory was 7.2 and those teams combined for 9 wins.
You can't say UConn has been any hotter of a team during that stretch. -
Ironman92UConn has been hotter than Kentucky during their stretch.
-
Ironman929 wins in 19 days......that was left out
-
Ironman92.....this all being said....UK appears to be the best team right now
-
GOONx19Just got to eat lunch with Michelle Beadle. I never was that impressed with her on the show, but she's gorgeous. Great body, and she's not annoying at all in person.

If today goes anything like the last 3 weeks for Kemba.....he's gonna drop 50 in a win and then bang her afterward.
Dude has been livin' the charmed life. -

Same exact thing with me only for 95 bucks. I want to find a bookie and put 50 on Kentucky so I can guarantee to win something. I'm convinced they'll win to screw me out of money, it's why I thought they'd beat UNC. -

i don't think close to 40% is "absolutely horrible shooting"...uconn is favored, obviously you are a biased idiot with that prediction.
