Congrats KU!

slingshot4everWith the OSU loss there is not one team left that can beat Kansas. Book it.
-
killer_ewokMaybe.....but it is dangerously early to declare that.
-
paul_banksYou may be right but UNC looked pretty good earlier tonight.
-
MulvaKansas was my (non-OSU homer) pick before the tournament. Duke, OSU, and Kansas were the only teams I could see winning, so I agree they will ultimately win it.
But you'd think after Bucknell, Bradley, and Northern Iowa, you'd realize this thread is just a little premature. -
Hb31187theres a high seed left whos name starts with a "B". Kansas isnt safe yet
-
slingshot4everKU only loses to low seeds that start with a B...they are safe...

Like Butler? -

slingshot4everHb called them a higher seed which prompted my response. 8 isn't a low seed.

Technically it's a middle seed but in the Elite 8/Final 4....I'd call it relatively low. -

Hb decided to call it a high seed.... -

8 is higher than 2.
It depends on how you look at it. -
slingshot4everNo one would ever say Kansas is the lowest remaining seed in the tourney...don't be dumb
-
SportsAndLadyNo way has KU "locked up" a national title...that's just dumb.
That being said, they are the clear favorites. But shit..maybe that's not a good thing...the favorites never win anymore. -
dwccrewUConn is playing some of the best ball in the country. KU has an easy road to the F4 (maybe?) and maybe even the title game. But Kentucky and UConn are on fire right now and UNC and Arizona are playing great as well. It's funny, one side of the tournament has Kentucky v. UNC and Arizona v. UConn. The other side has Kansas v. VCU and Butler v. Florida. Kansas got lucky with the bracket they're in and how it played out.
-
SportsAndLadyThey definitely got lucky...but these teams had to beat the tough teams in their bracket, so obviously they are good teams that are playing great ball.
But still...after the bracket KU received last year as the overall #1 seed...they deserved a run like this. -
GOONx19^ I'd be more inclined to agree with you if they would have made it to their difficult games last year.

That's the way I see it too. Sure they are lower seeds, but they are obviously doing something right because they are still playing.SportsAndLady;725432 wrote:They definitely got lucky...but these teams had to beat the tough teams in their bracket, so obviously they are good teams that are playing great ball.

Oh and I hope OSU gets the same treatment next year in the brackets! -

True..but I said before the brackets came out that N. Iowa was a tough team that I did not want to see in my bracket...for christ sake they only had 3 losses all season! And of course not only were they in KU's bracket, but they were their SECOND ROUND matchup! Ugh, i'm still salty about that
hangonsloopy;725435 wrote:Oh and I hope OSU gets the same treatment next year in the brackets!
I think they will..that's what I told my OSU friends...dont worry, you'll get a cakewalk to the FF next year, just the way it happens. -
GOONx19
I agree; just wanted to see how you felt a year later. Even after beating OSU, I'm still salty about UK's seeding/draw this year.SportsAndLady;725438 wrote:True..but I said before the brackets came out that N. But wouldn't you rather have your team as a 4 seed playing relatively close to their campus...than a 3 seed out west? I mean really, what's the difference between the 13 seed and the 14 seed? And now a days, 2 seeds are pretty close to 1 seeds so the 2nd round matchup is gonna be tough anyway.
Wasn't that the reason they gave for why UK was a 4 seed? i could be wrong.. -

slingshot4everI was wrong. Kansas shit their shorts today. Good job VCU.
