According to NBC Miami.com, and citing two sources close to the University of Miami football team, six players have been suspended for the 2011 opener against Maryland. Henderson was one of the half-dozen players identified by the TV station, as were running back Storm Johnson, linebacker Kelvin Cain, defensive back Keion Payne, defensive lineman Dyron Dye and defensive back Devont’a Davis.

The original report hinted that academics may have been the basis for the suspension(s); the NBC affiliate’s report states that the suspensions are for unspecified violations of team rules.

    And now

The Palm Beach Post is reporting that starting linebacker Ramon Buchanan has been hit with multiple charges, including a pair of felonies, following an off-campus incident in Coconut Grove. The felonies are resisting a police officer with violence and battery on a police officer, firefighter or emergency medical care provider, while he was also hit with three misdemeanors – trespassing, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest without violence.

Pitt football gets top ranking in wrong areas

Pitt's football program is No. 1 in the country ... in number of players arrested among teams that were ranked in the preseason top 25 last year, that is.

A six-month investigation by Sports Illustrated and CBS News found that Pitt had more players in trouble with the law (22) last year than any other school among the magazine's 2010 preseason top 25.

Edit: They also had to fire their new head coach for domestic violence.

I'm not sure which is worse, the fact that they have had 22 arrests or that the voters were dumb enough to put Pitt in the preseason top 25

Sadly in the NCAA's mind, this is looked at favorably compared to the OSU players selling their own property. smh

Eh beating the shit out of his wife is wrong on both counts. He didn't hit her and it wasn't his wife. Don't worry about facts though.

he was fired for a domestic disturbance. He didnt "hit her" he grabbed her by the arm and neck and then threw her to the ground, still pretty bad imo

Noticed that you didnt comment on the Pitt football program

He went to his baby mammas place, they got into an argument blah blah blah yada yada yada he was arrested for domestic disturbance

Whatever he did it was bad enough to get him canned. 22 arrests? I dont even think the Canes with Irvin and the boys had a number that high.

People who have character behave that way, people without character don't.

    Karma!

That's what happen when you fire Randy Shannon who ran a clean program and only had one player arrested under his watch as head coach.
  • THE4RINGZ
With all these bitches, drugs, guns and alcohol how we supposed to focus on football?
  • Fidmeister
Don't buy the karma for firing Randy angle. He recruited these guys after all.

The kids made bad decisions and should be punished for them. No real wiggle room there.

When I read the thread title, the first thing that popped into my mind:
Now, that's what I'm talking about. You come into our house, you should get your behind kicked. You don't come into the OB playing that stuff. You're across the ocean over there. You're across the city. You can't come over to our place talking noise like that. You'll get your butt beat. I was about to go down the elevator to get in that thing.

However, Georgia holds the 2010 Fulmer Cup, which is all that matters.

Pitt sucks. I'm sure Capone isn't a fan. One doesn't usually bandwagon a shitty team. Although, Capone isn't the sharpest guy, so maybe. I would guess he would be a Miami (OH) fan because that is where his man went.
