What have you been really wrong about so far?

  • Ironman92
    Two big ones for me.

I really thought Louisville was going to definately advance until Kansas and would have a very good chance to beat them and move on to as far as the championship game......not only did Morehead St beat them....then Morehead State got creamed by a 12 seed.

My other big error was with BYU.....I'm a big Jimmer fan but I just thought he would be slowed down by an athletic player in Rd 1 or definately Rd 2....but he looks unstoppable and BYU looks GREAT.

Sourheast regional, looks like an atomic bomb was dropped on it.

atomic bomb.......an oftne used term back in the day

haven't heard that for a long time
  • GOONx19
I have no Southeast region left.

    Same here.

I was really wrong about filling out a bracket. Every single one of them.
  • killer_ewok
    Just about everything.

Southeast Region for me too. Out of the four teams left in that region, I only picked ONE of them. Luckily that one team is Florida, who I have winning the region.

Definitely surprised by BYU. I thought Gonzaga would beat them, but it seems like the Jimmers are playing really well heading into the Sweet 16.

I knew that the Southeast was going to be brutal. My prediction on the "bold predictions" thread was that at least 3 double-digit seeds would win games in that region. It didn't happen (only Gonzaga), so there's actually been less shenanigans there than I thought there would be.

I had Penn State over SDSU into the sweet 16. Picked X into the sweet 16 too, even though I thought Marquette would beat them (took Marquette in 7 or 8 of my 10 online brackets, but not the pool I actually paid to enter).

I had Gonzaga and Utah State going to the Sweet 16. Had ODU winning and even thought about possibly picking Belmont. Things definitely ended up a little less chaotic than I expected since Florida, BYU, and Wisconsin are still alive. I ended up taking Florida to the Final Four because I was worried that Pitt would choke, and sure enough, they did.

That's funny because my entire bracket looks like Japan.

I might as well have picked The Fab Five to win my bracket. By far the worst I've ever done, even though I still have 13 Sweet 16s left. Every team is gone in the Southeast, I had Izzo in the Elite Eight, Pitt in the Final Four and, worst of all, my national runner-up lost to fucking Morehead State in the first round. Butler to the Sweet 16 is my only bright spot and I didn't pick that. I just was happy to see it happen. I'm tired of Pitt underperforming in the NCAAs and therefore glad Dixon got it handed to him in the final seconds.

Southwest had 4 double digit seeds win (10,11,12,13), which meant one of them had to get to the sweet 16!

    the big east

Probably a little too soon on that one.

If I were the Aflak duck, I might agree. So, what's the buffer zone for a mushroom plume that terminates 80,000? Just the 66 years, then? Lol. :D
  • friendfromlowry
I was wrong for having Pitt and Georgetown in the final four.
  • swamisez
Also had gonzaga and Utah st in sweet sixteen. Thankfully I have Florida in the ff. So the bracket is still in tact.

TOUCHE and made me actually lol

    As for my bracket:

The good: Richmond to sweet 16 over Morehead State. Big East has recently severely underperformed in tourney, so I had the 2 biggest inconsistencies to me (Louisville this year and Pitt in general) losing early.

The bad: Only 6 Elite 8 teams left and one of my final four gone.

The ugly: 0-4 on sweet 16s in SE, I had KSU and MSU meeting up in Elite 8. Ugh.
  • slingshot4ever
I had St Johns in the elite 8. However, I had them losing to Wisconsin and their road got a little easier with Pitts loss yesterday. I correctly picked Richmond to be in the sweet 16.
  • Pick6
My biggest fuck up so far is having MIchigan State make a run to the elite 8. Was never high on Pittsburgh but had them going out the next round.
  • Laley23
-Pitt in FF (though, that wont hurt me as most people in pool have them in at least E8)
-BYU...or Gonzaga, either way. Thought the Zags would be better and BUY would be worse. Have Zags in E8
-Belmont and Morehead. Had Morehead winning and Belmont losing, then woke up Thursday and switched. Go with the GUT!
-Xavier in S16. Just laid an absolute egg
-PSU, but I chalk it up to David Jacksons injury. They were up 20-11 when he went down to Temple. I think they are in S16 without the injury

-What I have picked that looks good thus far? Well not a whole lot, but Ill be looking good in the brackets if UCONN and UNC make the Final Four. UCONN has looked very good, so I like that pick. UNC, well their defense was atrocious, but they should sitll be alive after today without much trouble.

    EVERY DAMN THING!

At least it feels this way, as it seems every game either fucks me up on is on the verge of doing so until the one I picked finally pulls it out in, say, double OT. You might as well put a no-fly zone over my Southeast, though, with all the bombing done there. Florida beating BYU is the ONLY game I can still score with there. Southwest is better, but still sucks with Louisville and another Sweet 16 team gone. But at least there and the other two regions, I don't have long-term damages from losses.

How good the Big East was. The talking heads had me fooled.
  • LJ
I had WVU in the Elite 8
