How Many Brackets??

  • Laley23
How many do you fill out in a given year? I only do 1, and use it for anything I enter.

Someone came up to me and asked how many we were allowed to enter in a pool. I said, I dont know, as many as you want to pay for I guess. Dude had 10 entries!!! Ive never really cared, and I gladly took his money, cause he still sucks and wont win. But how can you take pleasure in picking correct when you do more than 1 entry!?

For pools or anything I pay to enter, I only do 1.

But for online shit where I don't pay to enter and could win $10k or more, I fill out as many as they let me.

I have a "First Five Minutes (after the Selection Show) Bracket," a "Rational Bracket," a "Dream Bracket" (in this bracket, Duke wins all 63 games), a "Buzzer Beater Bracket," an "Upset Bracket," a "Rivalry Bracket," a "Legendary Programs Bracket," and way too much time haha. I agree with the others, I only submit one bracket into an office or personal pool. As ESPN's Mike Greenie says, I have my "sheet of integrity" and pride myself in my knowledge as an avid college basketball fan. I've won big doing this and I've lost horribly. But it's the only way to feel satisfactory about picking, IMO.

But I always pick the above brackets I labeled for fun. In fact, I am currently working on probably my 30th such bracket. I then decide at the end which one I am most proud of.

    lol same here pretty much.

I always have 1 bracket where Carolina wins. No matter what. I think I even added them to the bracket last year :(

I try not to submit more than 1 for money though. If I'm really stuck on some games, I may do 2 brackets.

I ran a pool when I was in HS and one of my friends that entered, did like 6 brackets. Of course he was out of it by the sweet 16, so quantity doesn't always equal quality.

Ive had Indiana win every year since I can remember. I dont count it as a second bracket, since I basically give up my 10 bucks just to enter it in haha.

Now, when they are actually good, I wouldnt do a second. But when they arent even in the tourney, well, 10 more to the winner I guess lol.

Lol same here. I have never had Duke falling short of a championship on any of my brackets. Even in 2006-07, when the Blue Devils had 10 losses heading into the tournament, I had them penciled as my champ. I'm not even sure I filled out the rest of the bracket that year. Just penciled Duke in and knew I lost haha.

I usually just do one bracket. Every year I spend hours looking over meaningless stats like RPI, strength of schedule, common opponents, etc. I enjoy it, but never win.

This year, I decided to just make it based on gut reactions and I only gave myself 5 minutes at lunch to complete the whole bracket. We will see how this works out.

    This year I have two.

In the one that's just for fun, my final four is OSU, UConn, Kansas, and Pitt.

In my serious one I have Kentucky, Hampton, Boston U, and Arkansas-Little Rock.

    Just one.

I have OSU winning it all, and do every year that they are in the tournament. :)

always was a one bracket kind of guy, but after three straight years of suckiness, i've decided to go with about 6 different ones with five different champions. just trying a different strategy...i highly doubt it works lol

Only one for me...and if KU isn't playing OSU I'm screwed. Homer picks and playing favorites at the same time...

One. I have OSU v Kansas in the finals like everyone else. My big upset is the Zags over St. Johns and BYU. I also have Vandy going to the sweet 16 and Florida in the final four. YIKES!

As do I, I always feel like it could happen, I hope this year is it.
