Cleveland BuckAnd for those that are going to bitch about Michigan as a 9 seed or UCLA as an 11 seed, several teams were moved up or down a seed line to accommodate bracket rules.
-
Cleveland BuckRight now I have Duke 5 and North Carolina 7 in the S-curve. If North Carolina wins, they switch places. Carolina won't get a #1 seed. If Duke wins they stay where they are.
If Dayton wins the A-10, Alabama is out, and Richmond would move into a play-in game.
If Florida wins the SEC both they and Kentucky stay where they are. If Kentucky wins, Florida stays where they are (#6 on the S-curve) and Kentucky has a chance to move up to the 3 line replacing BYU.
The Big Ten final really has no impact on Ohio State's draw. Penn State could move up a seed liine or two with a win. -
GoJPM!I don't think Pitt deserves a #1 seed anyway. I think the ACC champ may move up and claim the fourth #1.
How many lines will BYU drop, seeing they were being touted a #1 seed two weeks ago? Think they are no better than a four seed. Not sure they will last long, in this tourney, now. -
CinciX12Don't think you got many of the sites right lol. But that wouldn't be easy.
I'm also not seeing Pitt as a #1 seed. But you can argue for and against. -

The sites were tough because there aren't enough of them in the eastern half of the country. I keep going back and forth on Pitt and Duke if they win. I thought all along Duke would get it if they win the ACC, but several of their best wins came with Kyrie Irving playing, so that might be enough to not upset the bracket and leave things the way they are. -
Azubuike24Care if I post mine in here? Can make a separate thread if you want. I like your style Cleveland Buck. I'm guessing we probably approach this time of year very similar

I would have Pitt as a #1 before I would ND. When you look at ND's losses, they got handled pretty good in a lot of them. UNC on the other hand only has losses against Duke, Texas, by a few points, and one bad loss to GT the last 3/4 of the season. They've been playing like one of the best teams in the country since the start of december. I can't say I would be surprised if they get a 1 seed should they beat Duke today. -
Early CuylerCincinnati as a #9 seed? LOL lay off the sauce

I don't mind if you post yours in here. And yeah this is why I love this time of year. Crunching numbers and figuring out resumes and logistics and all that. I like trying to predict what the field will be more than trying to predict who will win after the field is out. -

They are 5-8 vs. the top 50, 7-8 vs. the top 100 and played against the 84th ranked schedule. Penn State has a better resume. They should be happy to be a 9 seed. -
osudarby08I sure hope you are wrong because IMO in your predictions Ohio State has the toughest region. UNC is the team that scares me the most if OSU plays them in the tourney and UCONN is in the top 5 of teams that scare me. Both have potent inside presences with great guard and wing players.
-
GoJPM!Duke making a strong argument for a #1 seed, at the moment.
-
Cleveland BuckI'm sure their bracket won't look like mine, but I do think they will try to keep San Diego State out west as a #2 and possibly even keep Florida in the Southeast as a #2. That leaves Duke and UNC for Ohio State and Kansas. As for Connecticut as a 3, they probably aren't going to put them in the bracket with the 2 Big East #1 seeds, so that leaves Ohio State or Kansas for them, and if Kansas gets Duke in their bracket, they will get an easier #3 seed to try and balance things out.
-
GoJPM!Lunardi is projecting OSU, UConn, Florida, & Syracuse in the East.
-
Cleveland BuckOk, updated with a few changes. Kentucky moves up to a 3 and BYU moves down to a 4, and Richmond moves up to an 11. Then some other matchups and lower seeds had to be switched up to make things work.
-
Ironman92It really looks very good overall and IMO fewer question marks than the one we will be debating in a couple of hours.
I don't see how Xavier can be 3 seeds higher than WVU. -
Ironman92#1's OSU, Kansas, Duke, Pitt
#2's ND, UConn, Texas, UNC
#3's Purdue, UK, SD St, Lville
#4's BYU, Wisc, Arizona, Flordia
#5's Syracuse, St Johns, A&M, Vandy
#6's WVU, UC, Washington, K State
#7's Temple, Xavier, GTown, Utah St -
sportswizuhrdTotally forgot about it until Lunardi said it-BYU can only play in the cities listed below due to their Thursday/Saturday restrictions.
Sites with Thursday/Saturday games.
Denver(West..where CB has them)
Tampa(SE)
Tucson(SE)
Washington(West) -
sportswizuhrdAre the locations of the 1st round and what region they are attached to, set in stone?
-
Ironman92BYU can't be in the SE because they have tea.

I forgot about that. I'll fix it. -

You already had it correct.Cleveland Buck;710172 wrote:I forgot about that. I'll fix it. -
sportswizuhrdSomeone should take screen grabs of notable blogs/sites(ESPN, CBS, etc.) and see who does the best. I have heard that while he is good at projecting the field, Lunardi isn't that well at predicting match-ups.

I had part of it right. I moved them to the East region though this last update.
