Dude. You called that one. Great Call. -
KR1245That was a great game.

daveCongrats to Akron, ugly last 10mins but great game. I hope they draw BYU.
-
Pick6Man, it was a great game and great atmosphere!! I dont really give us a shot to win a game, but maybe i'll get lucky and we'll draw OSU in the first round in Cleveland. If not, I hope we get some other high seeded mid major.

Akron won't be a 16. -

Yeah...they seem like a 13/14 -

Has the MAC winner ever been a 16 seed?
You would have to figure if you have "6" 16 seeds this year: Hampton, Arkansas-Little Rock, UT San Antonio, Alabama St. are probably the four playing in Dayton. And then probably UNC Asheville will be a 16. Not sure who the last one will be. Morehead St. or St. Peter's maybe. -
ts1227MAC is basically always a 13 or 14 anymore... 14 seems to the the lowest they ever place a MAC school.
-
atomica600I did a bit of research. No team from the MAC has ever been a 16 seed. There have been 3 teams from the MAC seeded 15.
Ball St.-1993
Eastern Michigan-1988
Akron-1986
Congrats to Akron on going to the dnace. I saw them over at the Convo a couple of weeks ago and they didn't look like they had it all together that night. Hopefully they can pull of an upset and represent the MAC well. -

You realize that it isn't only the 16 seeds playing in Dayton right?
It's the last 4 auto qualifiers and the last 4 at large teams. -
ts1227It seems like that anymore there are enough shitty/really small conferences that the floor for the MAC is about a 14 seed.
However, the MAC is shitty enough that basically no one other than Kent will ever go above a 13 anytime soon. -

He said there are 6 16 seeds so it appears he knows exactly what he's saying. The 4 at large won't affect Akron's seeding. -
wildcats20I totally read his post wrong. lol

davePotential Akron opponents
Louisville
UConn
BYU
Kentucky
Florida
Texas
Purdue
Those are most likely to be 3 seeds -
ts1227Lunardi projecting Akron as a 16 seed playing ND.
I don't know if ND holds a 1 seed since Duke will probably get one now, so I would think Pitt or Duke if they get that 16. -
september63Just curious if Lunardi would have given Kent State a #16 seed. I doubt it.
-
daveAkron is really one of the 6 worse resumes in the tourney?
Kent was a 14 as of yesterday. -
davecbs has akron as a 15 playing SDSU
-
Pick6Man no respect for the MAC...like you guys said, I'd figure we would atleast be seeded over the likes of Hampton, Alabama St, UT-San Antonio, etc.

september63Someone tell me where is Oakland seeded? TY

13 vs. Wisconsin

september63Ill take my chances picking Oakland to win their 1st round game. Not because it might be Wisconsin, I'm taking them against whomever.
