I may have answered my own question. According to Kyrie's Twitter, he's still wearing his walking boot.

In light of some things ive read and seen from kyrie I think he will shut it down soon. They tried and he just didn't heal quickly enough to be considered ready to practice an contribute. Shame because with him I think duke is a lock for final four and odds favorite for title.

But I guess we can always wonder.

In regards to Saturday night, Kyle singler's play as of late has actually made duke a worse team. His recent trend of trying to get his shot instead of taking advantage of the defense has brought the whole offense down in terms of efficiency. The best they have looked has come when mason plumlee has the ball and drives and creates for seth and Nolan Sadly I think Carolina is playing it's best ball of the season and duke is playing it's worst. Stinks because I will be there on saturday night and am going to have to endure the horror of 18k jumping for joy as arguably two of the best seniors in duke ball history walk off the floor to Roy cutting down nets for a championship that doesn't even exist.

Good grief, Dukies. You guys are killing me! All this doom and gloom.

I feel like Carolina is playing pretty well right now, but I wouldn't exactly say I'm confident. Should be a good game, but I wouldn't be the least bit surprised to see Duke get the win.

Which team do I insult for you Wildcats20, OSU or UNC?

Oh well, I am an equal opportunity insulter

    for UNC
says the guy whose team was last seen in tournament play losing to Dayton in the NIT :)

    for OSU
says the guy whose team last won a national title when basketballs had laces and was only played by whites.:)

Many years ago, Albert Einstein visited North Carolina for a nationwide conference on science. Einstein was famous for his ability to converse with all people, regardless of their intelligence of interests.

At a reception following the conference, he approached three men and asked the first, "Sir, what is your IQ?"

"148," the Duke professor answered, and Einstein launched into a lengthy discussion with the man about quantum physics and relativity.

He then turned to the second man and asked, "and what is your IQ sir?"

"105," the NC State professor answered, and Einstein chatted with the man briefly about recent changes in agricultural technology, and new methods being used increase farm production.

Einstein turned to the third man and asked, "and, you sir, what is your IQ?"

    "52," the man answered.

Einstein broke into a broad grin, clapped the man on the shoulder, and said, "How 'bout those Heels!"

3rd best rivalry in college sports behind Auburn/Alabama and OSU/UM

    Nope.

I think it is ridiculous to claim one rivalry is better than another. It depends on your perspective. If duke/UNC is your great rivalry, so be it. If Capital/Otterbein is your great rivalry, so be it. These games are only ultra-important to the people who are fans of specific teams. Most others are casual observers.

    This.

People want to say that only the state of North Carolina cares about this game, which if false.

Literally only the state of Alabama cares about the Iron Bowl.

Gotta go with Carolina in this one. Not only is the whole revenge factor and home crowd advantage on their side but Barnes has been tearing it up down the stretch out in the 3 spot and Henson has turned into a double double machine downlow. The reason they've picked it up offensively is because of their PG Marshall and that's why I have them winning this game. Seems like a safe bet to me

ESPN says it all. OSU/Michigan #1. Unbiased.

Well if that's the case then why does it continually draw the best ratings of the year for college sports? The rating for Alabama/Auburn this year was a 7.5 while North Carolina/Duke was a 3.9 and Alabama doesn't have that big of a population

Could have been the added significance of BCS title implications. What Carolina/Duke game are you using there? A Wednesday night game?

No 2009 season finale for the ACC on a Sunday. And even the 2009 Iron Bowl had a 4.9 rating

This thread is populated with fans of Duke and North Carolina. None of them went to either school, they are all on the bandwagon.

Well shoot when you've been successful for 20 years like UNC and Duke you're gonna have that kind of support. Ha also probably some of them moved down to North Carolina...shoot I visited my uncle this summer who just moved down there for work and I felt like I was still in the midwest cause there was a ton of Ohio and Michigan plates in Charlotte and Raleigh

The same reason you like to run your mouth in Cleveland and Ohio State threads.

I don't think that's accurate. You haven't added anything to the conversation and have admitted that you have never watched a Duke/Carolina game.

ha, one to talk about trolling.

as for rivalries, sleeper posted a link about 10 years old..they have Garnett and Duncan as a top 5 future rival. The Bama/Auburn is a good rivalry, but not near the top. Its been big the past 2 years because of the implications. Duke/UNC and OSU/Michigan are both at the top. Mich/OSU was the favorite but has lost some ground due to michigan sucking balls as of recent. I think I remember ESPN actually doing a poll on the best rivalry pretty recently. If im not mistaken, UNC/Duke had a slight advantage percentage wise.
