Carolina would have to like its chances to come out of that bracket.

I would say it is probably the easiest of the 4 regions, yes.

Also, no way IMO 6 teams get in from the Big Ten.

Pitt would absolutely love that bracket.

top half of the west is scary. lunardi must not want byu to make the elite 8.

As a Kentucky fan I wouldn't want to play St. Johns in DC, but after that I'd like our chances.

Love that bracket as a nd fan. North carolina scares me though. I would expect very full force burn offense in that game

No way Texas should get a #2 seed the way they are closing out this season.

I just do not see the Big East getting 11 bids. I think they have proven it but I just can't see the committee all agreeing on a conference getting 11 (since the committee is made up of various conference affiliations).

FWIW, his latest bracketology was posted BEFORE Texas lost at home to Kansas State. I think they'll drop to a 3-seed in his next one, with Wisconsin or Syracuse moving up to a 2-seed.

Eight Big East teams are a lock, in Pittsburgh, Notre Dame, St. John's, Louisville, Georgetown, Syracuse, Villanova, and Connecticut. The question becomes does Cincinnati, Marquette, and/or West Virginia get in. Cincinnati is currently 7th in the Big East, but have a weak SOS. Marquette has wins over Notre Dame, Syracuse, and at Connecticut. West Virginia has wins at Georgetown, at Cincinnati, and Notre Dame.

I think if West Virginia is presently "on the bubble but in", they have their chance to confirm they're in, as they host Connecticut and Louisville to end the regular season. Cincinnati also has this chance, as they host Marquette before traveling to Georgetown.

I think if the pieces fall right, 11 teams from the Big East will get in. There's always the chance that the "11th" team picks up another big win or two in the Big East tournament, as well.

WVU also has wins over Purdue and Vanderbilt. Bad losses @Miami and Marshall. Does Cinci or Marquette have any good OOC wins?

Not a great draw for the Bucks in that scenario.

You serious? UCLA and UCONN are pushovers. Duke is good, but we all know they flop 9 times out of ten when it comes to big games. OSU would cruise to the final 4 without breaking a sweat.

Agreed. MSU needs to be in the NIT.

Major news for BYU as Cougars announce that Brandon Davies is off the team for the rest of the season due to a violation of BYU honor code.
I'd guess that will shake up the seeds at the top a little bit.

    Only if they lose.
  • ironman02
So this means that there's a 100% chance that BYU is in Duke's bracket, right? :)
