Yours truly, climbing the goal post at the Horseshoe in '95 ...

BigAppleBuckeyeOSU beats Notre Dame in 1995 after huge games from Eddie George and Terry Glenn ... I am hammered, decide to boost myself on the goalpost by using a cop as a leap-frog tool. The cop, not amused, attempted to strangle me, but I escaped and climbed my way to the top (Victory!). I am in the black shirt, hat on backwards, under the first "O" in "Ohio State" .... ahhhh, smart decisions:

Exactly. I believe that Notre Dame was a top 5 team back then.
So were you guys able to bring the goal post down back then, or did it stand like it did in 2002? -

Nope, didn't come down, I think the university made them destruction-proof!
That Notre Dame team had Ron Powlus, who after the game said it was the loudest stadium he had ever played in. Despite my drunken stooper, I remember Terry Glenn breaking that 80 yard TD and the 'Shoe just exploding, what a memory.
EDIT: found the highlight! Go to the 20 second mark, and LOL at Regis! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lRi6ArvLgRU -
vball10setThat game was, by far, the most crowded I have ever seen Lane Ave. between High St. and Olentangy River Road. I remember walking down the alley from the Holiday Inn-on-the-Lane to the Varsity Club that night, and my feet never hit pavement--I walked on crushed beer cans all the way there--it was insane!!!!
